Wait, on the UCSB thread you said your GPA was 3.1-3.2. But here you said it’s a 2.9.
Sorry, I don’t mean to call you out. But I have around 3.1-3.2 and I want to get into UCSB and UCR. Was hoping to compare stats with you

@brianbellau Yes I do have a 3.1-3.2, bu I am just lazy write that down. I thought 2.9 GPA is like the same area to me. haha.

UCR still hasn’t picked up my calls about why I got rejected. I keep on getting redirected to the counselor’s voicemail.

I AM ADMITTED!!! YES!! FINALLY! 5 years in the making for me :D.

still haven’t heard any news… however, congrats to everyone who just got accepted!

Weird. I logged in last week and saw that I was admitted, but today they sent me an “official” email congratulating me on being admitted. Anyone else get this?

@burntcorpse the portal updates before you get the official email.

Anybody else get an email from the Financial Aid office today? Still no word on if I was accepted or not but the email states that they are reviewing my Fin. Aid award.

@kva019 Have you checked your admission in the myucr portal? I received that email, too, but I have been admitted.

@knhofto Yes! Just checked it again now. Admitted to the Bourns College of Engineering for Electrical Engineering. 3.34 GPA IGETC Complete. Missing one pre-req. (Programming for microsystems). Wahooooo!

Anybody else knows how to check for financial id?

@bjt223 Go to the My Documents tab in your UCR account. Then on the right hand column there is a link to GROWL. Located on the left is a link called “Award Status”. There the info is listed or soon to be listed

When I logged on, I saw a congratulatory note saying I got accepted into my alternative major. It said to talk with a counselor to see what courses I would need to take, and it had a check box below the message to confirm if I read and understood what it said. The problem is that my account homepage stayed the same: “We have received many, many applications…” Is this a glitch, or is there someone else with a similar problem?
