Has anyone received their acceptances yet?

I havenāt heard back either.

Transferring from Syracuse University back to the best coast with a 3.4 GPA.
SOOOOOO NERVOUS to hear back from any of the UCās

Applied: UCLA, CAL, UCSB, UCSC, UCR (&USC which doesnāt announce until June)
Accepted: ?!?!

@rundunn Finally someone not from CC that is applying! Trying to transfer to UCR from CSU and Iām quite nervous as well!

Iām also transferring from CSU. But the chances are pretty low though.

@Summer1990 Not if youāre competitive!

Hmm, anyone wants to take a guess at when the next wave is going to come out? Havenāt heard of any more acceptances after the the other fridayā¦

Iām also attempting to transfer to a UC from a CSU! Hoping for the best

@schoolcomputer What constitutes a competitive applicant? Lol tbh Iām just hoping I fit your description 8-}

Did anyone else go to UCR Discovery Day this past weekend?

Aww man. I guess Iām going to get rejected :(.

Congrats to everyone accepted to UCR! Itās a great school!

I was on campus, but I ironically didnāt go to the discover day. I know people there, so I know my way around. So nice! So many trails and peaceful areas. Not sure about choosing UCR though. I would love to hear why you guys are choosing it!

@bjt223 Why do you say youāre getting rejected? What are your stats?

Well the reason im strongly considering it is because I thought it was awesome. Discover day did make me feel al lot different about UCR. With that said though, Iām still waiting on UCB and UCLA decisions to decide where im going. From the looks of things (or just being realistic) I am taking it as I have no shot at either based on my gpa, but I still applied to both anyway. So from the looks of it I might end up at UCR. I guess to sum it up with pros and consā¦

I think its a perfect fit for me.

Pros:
- Close to home (If UCLA says yes, Iād be closer then, cause I live in LA.)
- Great faculty (One of of my future professors went to Law School with Barrack Obama at Harvard)
- Great faculty pt. 2ā¦everyone was really friendly and welcoming
- All transfer students are put in Glen Mor Apartments (confirmed this with director from housing)
- Can either minor, double major, or switch to business administration (cant do that at UCLA)
- Philosophy department ranks in the top 40 of schools in the world (taught in english)
- Just an overall chill vibe

Cons:
- Weather? Can get either real cold or real hotā¦
- Riverside? A lot of people say theres nothing to do out here. I am bringing my car so this might not be a problemā¦driving out to ontario to do stuff or other places is no big deal for me.
- Canāt think of anything else reallyā¦

But, obviously if either UCB/UCLA accept meā¦that would change thingsā¦lol

12 days after the first wave: no dice

@xxcapital Itās so painful man ~_~. Did you TAG to UCR?

@mental2 Tagged UCI. But I got rejected from UCR in HS so I was hoping for a redemption to know that my efforts in college is worth it _. Hang on in there, buddy

(FIRST BATCH - Will put this on top so people donāt get excited/confused thinking a new batch has been released)

I was accepted Friday Feb 28, 2014 around 7pm. When I checked my status randomly at 4pm (that day), I had a poll appear out of no where under Spotlights on the usual Account Home page and it asked me what I thought about my admissions packetā¦ O_o I didnāt want to get my hopes up so I assumed everyone got it. When I checked again at 7pm, my status had changed from the āWeāve received your application and are reviewing it nowā to āCongratulations!!ā. I am anxious to hear from other UCās and I can only imagine how some of you feel waiting on your first UC so I decided to explain what to look for hopefully before this upcoming batch. UCR is my backup school so if things are not meant to be with the other UCās I will happily attend UCR. Good luck everyone and hopefully we all hear great news!

My major is Media and Cultural Studies.
60+ credits.
IGETC.
No TAG.

Which other UCās did you apply to?
Applied: UCR, UCSD, UCI, UCSB, UCD
Accepted: UCR
Pending: UCD, UCSD, UCSB, UCI
UCSD & UCI are my top choices!

@transfer14ptl congratulations on your acceptance!! I just wanted to know where āthe spotlightsā section is? Is it in the āmy.ucr.eduā portal? If so, I canāt see it Iām starting to get the feeling the poll has a correlation to acceptanceā¦

@transfereee Yes and thank you! As soon as you log onto https://my.ucr.edu/ it should be on the front page next to āWeāre currently reviewing blahblahā. I got it the day of my acceptance so I wouldnāt be worried unless it does not show up on any of the days the batches are released. It literally popped up hours before my acceptance. Seems to me that the second batch hasnāt been released yet so do not fret! Iām sure it will popup soon.

@transfer14ptl Congrats! Just curious, hours before being officially admitted at 7pm, did you receive any email notification during this time? Or did you receive any email at 7 pm? Clicking my email alert that pops up and then knowing itās a non-UC related email is so depressing haha.
