@bjt223 I know kinda bummed but at least we can still use the new glen mor facilities like the pool and stuff. I’m just excited to be on campus.

@charlee619 @bjt223 from previous post I’ve heard that they save some classes for transfers since we literally register last for classes, how true that is I’m not sure but I’m with you guys a lot of what I wanted to take is full with no waitlist ability

@moniiique and everyone else, I just want you to check your housing contract. I call in today to check my status of the contract. Apparently, they got me a yearly contract which mean its goes from September to June but with summer housing. This means it will cost more. If you’re not planning to stay there next summer, I would change the status of the contract to academic year which is same thing except with summer to save some money.

@bjt223 if i remember correctly you are in cnas too. my academic workshop was the 19th too, what time was yours? if it was at 1:30 i probably saw you. If you are in cnas then we get to register earlier than our orientation on the 27th. We can register at 8am on the 25th. Also what did you see to find out you’re not in Glen mor 2?

Actually, I did attend the workshop on the 19th but it was earlier in the morning so we barely miss each other. I didn’t know that part that we can register on the 25th. i guess they forgot to told us about that. Anyways, what I found out that I got Glen Mor 1 because the room assignment. I got in the B-room area which resides in Glen Mor 1. I was not satisfied because I pay so much money for new things so I call to the housing department to resign me to Glen Mor 2.

@bjt223 I did yearly contract because my goal is to go to summer session. From what I was told you get 2 months of free rent if you renew your contract. I tried switch to the new part of glen mor and they told me no, let me know what they tell you! (:

@moniiique If that was your goal to attend summer session next summer, then getting new part of glen mor would be hard for you. I called them last week to get me switch to new glen mor. They only have few rooms available but only 4 room /2 baths and you must be sign to an academic year.

I was fine with that. I was planning to take summer session at UCI or UCSD and I have a place to stay for both schools. So I switched my contracts from yearly to academic year, just so I can use the new faculty. If you’re going to pay so much for Glen Mor, you may as well be the first one try new things.

@bjt223 did you cancel your previous contract to get the glen mor 2? I wanted to switch also but they said i would need to cancel my glen mor 1 contract first and then apply for glen mor 2 =/

@charlee619 Yeah I did. I got a $75 fee for that, but my financial aid covers it so it was no biggie for me. Even I cancel it, they gave me the contract for Glen Mor 2 right away.

I recommend to do it by phone. Let them do it so you know they actually did it

@erik346x my orientation is on tuesday but i got a hotel and am staying there mon - wed! does anyone know if glen mor has a housing tour available?

I think they do have glen mor tours available…and yeah we sign up for classes at orientation. Ive actually been living in riverside since june…got classes for summer session and got summer aid…so far its been pretty chill. Cant wait to meet more transfers though

this is so frustrating, im trying to register for classes, but i keep getting prerequisite problems even though i have completed that prereq. Am i the only one getting this problem!?
