@jspare003 I wasnt able to register because they didnt put math 009B as completed, although it said i had math 009A and C completed (which is so odd). Anyway i emailed my academic advisor and it got fixed ASAP and i successfully registered (or successfully waitlist since almost all my classes are full haha) my classes!

@bjt223 thats odd, i was able to register today at 8am. check your growl and try registering! it should be open to all transfers

@charlee619 glad you were able to get it taken cared of! I had the same problem but they fixed mine a while ago!
How was orientation for those who went?

@Jpare002 Mine say they have a hold for current activity on Growl. That mean I have to pay the fees, but I don’t have the money right now. After I register my classes during orientation than the financial aid kick in. I guess I have to wait for now :(.

@bjt223 thats weird, my financial activity included my future financial aid as credit, so i only needed to pay like 80 bucks. Also your orientation is tomorrow also? cuz thats when im going for orientation! we should meet up man!

@bjt223. Call student services. They can remove the hold immediately. Because you are getting fin aid. Mine had a hold, but a credit balance… due to the order they posted fees and stuff. 5 minute phone call. With no payment. And it was cleared. Good luck

@bjt223 Mines on Wednesday the 27th too!
And my financial aid kicked in too! It covered my classes and first month at glen mor. Only have to pay 26 bucks.

@hypothesis if the workshops are relevant to your situation its helpful (non are really fun though). meeting new peple in your major is pretty helpful, i met a lot of new friends today (this was fun)! Also the lunch they give you is cool, its a 10 dollar coupon to get anything at the foodcourt. oh and props to my advisor gerrardo, he was awesome!

Was too lazy to post after I got back from orientation & I worked this morning but Highlander orientation isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, in my honest opinion. You check in, get your folder, go to opening session, then meet your orientation leader (who maybe sees you for 35 mins tops the whole day), go to 3 not very exciting sessions, go to lunch/take ID pic/club booths, head to your registration room, register yourself for classes and your done!

PROS:
finding new friends in your major or housing.
being on campus to handle last minute issues.
you get a real lunch, not a hot dog and water lol.
getting to meet your academic advisor and asking all the questions you need!

CONS:
not particularly useful sessions.
it was $40 to attend & I don’t see why.
not enough time to get food, eat, and try to visit clubs.
when you register for classes it’s really overwhelming if too many people need help. It gets stressful when tons of classes are full as well.

Hey guys, it’s been a while, orientation was really pointless. Non of the academic advisors helped with stating which classes count towards your major, I could’ve simply stayed home and done the registration for classes. Met a few people but all in all it was useless. Breakfast even sucked lol. Anyway pretty excited and I can’t wait till we move in, or for me, I’ll be at Glen Mors.

Just came back from the orientation. It was not all pointless for me through. They brought out some great advice and present opportunities, but overall I was kind of disappointed. I thought it would be more social that we get to know people by activities. I talked to people, but none of them I exchanged contact with :(
