OFFICIAL UCSC TRANSFER THREAD (FALL 2014)

Any computer science majors hear back yet?

@anavera thanks body! They actually refreshed it again yesterday and I was able to check it, and I think they revised it. Now I am pretty satisfy with the numbers. Thank you so much! :)

I’m so jealous for everyone. I wish I could go there. Wish everyone here some luck in near future!

@Bjt223 Did you get rejected?

@collegedropout1. Sadly, yes. I kind of expect that.

@bjt223 what was your GPA and major?

Rejected.
UC GPA: 3.94
Major GPA: 4.00
Major: Psychology
Major Pre-requirements: will be completed by the end of Spring 2014 semester
IEGTC: will be completed by the end of Spring 2014 semester

I’m I the only one that has not gotten a financial aid offer? I just get this message saying that I do not have any financial aid coming, which is weird because my EFC is 000 and I already submitted my FAFSA.

3.94 and rejected? Santa Cruz stepping up it’s game? What is this sorcery?

@CollegeDropout1, it says you wont be recieving any? I believe it used to say for me. Then I was checking for the last two weeks and it changed to it wasn’t available yet. I checked the other morning, same thing. Then 30 minutes later I got an email saying they posted my aid and they had updated it. Also a few days before that they put in my to do list that they had recieved my fafsa, which is still there. Do you know if they’ve recieved your fafsa? That might be the issue that they haven’t updated that part yet so it might be saying you’re receiving nothing until then, but I’m not sure. Definitely call the financial aid office to check whats going on.

This is stressing me out so hard, I just want to hear so I can commit!
I really wonder what is taking them so long? I’ve heard of multiple people admitted already from my major with very similar stats…

Just got my package in the mail today. Anyone else get theirs?

@lenorexo UCSC updated today!

@lolalalaa That’s really weird. You either made a mistake somehow or admissions knew you were overqualified and would end up at another school anyway. I hope SC wasn’t your first choice.

I have to pry, but has anyone else gotten their financial aid offer. I was wondering how much other people were offered. I had an EFC of 000, so I received a little over 32,000 in the form of grants, loans and work study. Here is a break down. Would anyone else care to share?

@bhav007 Go to MyUCSC, then click on the main menu tab, and then on the financial aid tab, and lastly on the “my finances” tab. It will bring you up to a new page, and on the left hand side of that page there will be a view financial aid button.

Oh ok, mine says “Access to information for this aid year is not yet available.”

@CollegeDropout1‌, did you already get accepted to UCSC?

EDIT: and @anavera‌, what about you? Have you gotten accepted already?
