@theleakers
uc doesnt even let you submit an application if there are any errors, so i guarantee you wrote your essays

I am sure I did it, just totally don’t remember what I wrote …

so does anyone know when it’s coming out forsure? TOMORROW THE 17TH or SATURDAY?

I’m kinda bummed UCSD gives such little attention to essays…I spent a lot of time on my second one…

GPA 4.18, SAT 2220, Extracurriculars: 12 years tap dance, club tennis, Kids Korps chapter president, work, NHS, Science Olympiad, Science Journal.

Got rejected from UCLA, I’m scared for UCSD. My dad said he already knows what the verdict will be…

your dad must have received the phone call, congratulations …

I meant as in he thinks I’m going to get rejected, leakers >.>

@msbrilliant
my stats were lower than yours but i got accepted, dont underestimate your application. the uc’s are really sporadic with their acceptances

you can check what you wrote. log back into your UC app and click “view application” and u can look through the entire thing and the essays if you scroll all the way down

And i really wanna go to Davis and i figured getting into UCSD would be an indicator of me getting in there. [3.65/1940 good essays, first generation/family member in college, low income, 102.5 comm service and some EC’s]

lol leakers either the both of us dont make it or the both of us are going in. 3.9 here 32 ACT (2130) 800/760 on subjects. Not really ecs…pretty much nothing…just some small awards and community service lol.

I’m going to get rejected D’: UCLA stole all of my confidence, I feel like an underachiever. Ironically, I got into WUSTL…

Oh, c’mon. You have a great chance at getting in. The acceptance rate at UCSD is nearly double, don’t worry.

My stats are like dacrzazn93, sort of. 4.2 UC GPA, 1990 SAT. And little extracurriculars, >.<

dacrzazn93, if I don’t get in, I wish at least you do …

msbrilliant, don’t say that, you are eroding my happy moments just before the rejection …

adam…4.2 1990 > 3.9 2130 lol…thats 200-250 more than me on their score sheet

but guys theres another file they have on their site…they said rigor of secondary school record is very important. so i think this means both the difficulty of the classes you take and the difficulty of the school is taken into consideration. im having a hard time believing identical gpas from different schools are the same difficulty to achieve.

@dacrzazn93: the statfinder I found pretty useful: [University of California: StatFinder](http://statfinder.ucop.edu) Go to school reports and you can see how many people got in from your school in previous years.

2008-2009 rank 10 API
182/359 made SD 72 enrolled (hmmm im pretty sure im rank 182+ if my school weights the gpa for us haha…)
77/355 made LA 43 enrolled

^ !!!

I just checked; my school had 17 apply, 5 accepted, 0 attend haha.
Ranked 9 API.

@dacrzazn93: I agree that the rigor and reputation of your high school does matter…I go to a competitive catholic private high school (one of the highest ranking in sac. county) and students with 3.85-3.95 with 1900-1950 usually get in (last year, 3 out of 5 got admitted)

weighted or unweighted?
