<p>Hi there…Anxious waiting to hear. Thoughts on my chances getting into College of Engineering would be appreciated.</p>

<p>ACT 31 - math 32 and science 33
GPA - 4.17 Weighted
Played 3 sports all 4 years
Good amount of volunteer work
Essays above average ( i think)
6 AP Classes including Physics
Rec letters from counselor & AP Chem teacher
Attend a private catholic HS in the northeast</p>

<p>^pretty good chance, I feel. Which major?</p>

<p>College of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering</p>

<p>What are my shots for Economics?
California Resident (if it matters, North Marin County Area)
3.5 GPA un weighted around a 3.9-4.0 weighted
1130 SAT Score (critical reading 520+610 math)
My school does not do class ranking</p>

<p>Extracurriculars
-Many US Patents under my name
-Journalism Club
-Improv Club
-Varsity Basketball Team 3 years
-Local League Soccer 10+ years
-Many Community Service Trips to Central America
-Boy Scouts
-lots of local community service</p>

<p>Plus, my Uncle and Grandfather are alumni and I made a good impression when the College Admissions Representative came to my high school.</p>

9th grade 8.8( on the indian scale)
10th grade 9.2
11th grade 91%
12th grade midyear 79%( was busy with application essays, ACT prep)</p>

<p>2 summer internships, 350 hours community service, random clubs etc.
no sports :(</p>

<p>What’s the acceptance rate for engineering early? </p>

<p>@TodaysEinstein‌ Remember, this year there is no early action. Everyone hears back at the same time in February. So the rate will be different.</p>

<p>@nexusguy Your ACT score seems good, bur your gpa is low and you don’t have any leadership positions so idk. </p>

<p>@hobo65‌ The GPA is evaluated on a scale totally different from that in the US, so it can’t exactly be compared. And yeah, no significant leadership positions :/</p>

<p>How are your essays?</p>

<p>Essays: Pretty good, and I really drove the point that I want to be in CS. 2nd essay was also very good, 3rd was nice.</p>
