Official UIUC Class of 2019 Decisions Thread

I’ll repost the form when we hit 24 hours… so anxious

Tomorrows the day.

I am terrified

Are others getting the Countdown to decision emails from Illinois? Just received another in the last hour reminding me tomorrow is the day…and they are worth the wait…seems presumptuous considering that I may not even get accepted…

Kind of fed up with “We’re worth the wait!”

Some clarifications to some misinformation and confusion in some posts above.

Until this year, there were two admission notification dates, one in mid-December for those who filed by a priority date (in early November) and one in February for all others. Those who received a decison in December could be told they were admitted, rejected, or deferred to February. That is the “deferral” that no longer exists for the obvious reason that there is no longer a second date to defer to, since tomorrow is the only notification date. However, that has nothing to do with a wait list which still exists and there will be applicants tomorrow who will be told they can accept being on a wait list. One poster above asked if some got their decision earlier and pointed out a UIUC page that discusses December notifications. That page is from 2011 and thus has nothing to do with this year. Almost all are getting their admission decisions tomorrow. The ones that aren’t are those who applied for talent based art, music and theater programs, which require portfolios and/or interviews or auditions and they will be getting decisons between now and mid-March.

Essentially everyone can get two (and if engineering three) coniderations for admission. If you are declined for your chosen major you will be considered for an alternative progem, which for most means the Division of General Studies. In you applied engineering, you will be considered for your chosen major and if declined for your second chosen major, and if declined then for Division of General Studies. All those decisons will have been made by tomorrow so those who have been declined for their chosen major will be informed whether they have been admitted to an alternative program.

Scholarship offers usually do not come with the admisison package but instead in a separate communication and those can come any time between tomorrow and end of March. How long it takes depends on the ones making the decisons since most scholarship determinations are made separately by each college at UIUC and a number even separately by a department in a college. Admissions to honors programs also can come anytime between tomorrow and end of March although notification of campus honors and the college (James Scholars) honors programs are likely to be sooner rather than later. Need based financial aid decisons will come between mid-March and mid-April.

i really want to know but at the same time i dont? i’m so terrified . good luck everyone !

See post #17 for a direct quote from admissions re the timing of honors and scholarship offers for this year. We’ll find out tomorrow if they follow through, but this is what I was told in writing about six months ago.

Does any one know what time decisions are coming out?

@proboundz this just seems like a silly question at this point.

@drusba misspellings and poor grammar aside, I don’t know how serious to take your post. Good news is less than 24 hours we’ll know.

Yes, the waitlist is still in standing. Sorry if I messed that up previously…\

14 hours! I’ll post the form before decisions time! Good luck everyone!

Actually, just under 16 hours I think
