sorry if this has been answered already
when are UNC results usually out?

heyy chillypenguin looks lik we both applied here as well lol

Historically it’s been on Friday’s around this time of the month so best guess would be on the 22nd

I would like to thank you guys for being so kind. I typically stay away from CC because everyone is just so cruel to each other. It’s nice to see people who are actually courteous to one another.

That was my goal while starting this thread! haha I’ve had an account since HS started but never really used it till now. It’s nice starting it with people that care

hey jrswish!
yeap if its this week then it will be a very intense week!

5 more days. omg. UNC. damn. ill go crazy if im in lol. ive wanted to attend since before i was born lol

hey everyone just curious. how big of a role did the UNC Tar Heels play in ur decision to apply?

I guess it’s nice knowing that UNC is big on sports and that it has more of a true traditional college feel…sets them apart from most Ivy Leagues that are usually 3rd division

The Ivy League is a Division 1 league lol but yeah those schools play as bad as Division 3 schools lol

i just wanna get accepted but im OOS :(

You know what i mean…most Ivy’s aren’t exactly centered around sports teams like most state colleges.

Its really not fair for OOS, they get to go for free and have about a 50% admission rate

truuu. but yeah IS pretty much pay for the schools thru taxes (or so ive heard). i mean pretty much every public school has wayward IS and OOS admissions

i mean every state pays decent taxes but they don’t have schools as good as UNC in their state

I asked this before, but less people were on the tread- could someone check and see how much access they have on their UNC portal; I can access my academics and also the payment methods. It would actually let me make a payment if I wanted to. I was just wondering if this means anything. But, it still hasn’t given me the answer to acceptance, but I can click on the “transcript” and access it as well. It might not mean anything- but was curious if anyone else has the same that hasn’t been accepted yet.

@indepcc
I too can access that. I don’t think it means anything. Although it would be cool if we found something saying “Congrats on searching our site this intensely. You must be super interested in UNC. We are going to admit you right this very second!”

Who else here got deferred?

and @indepccsomething I got deferred and had the option to do that before I knew the ED decision so I wouldn’t take much light to it.

whistles

Dude…I had no idea OOS had it so easy. 50% is almost ridiculously relaxed, though. Are they going that (plus the whole attendance being free thing) to attract more geographic diversity? To, like, keep UNC from being too inbred? I mean, it’s not like North Carolina is Alabama or anything…:)

Hey guys!!! are results really coming out this friday?? I AM SOO EXCITED!! I really hope I get in. I just love chapel hill, and I spent a few years there… but I am also international so I’m just keeping my fingers crossed!

@randomazn14
That is definitely not true. I have no idea where someone got their information but OOS is MUCH harder. The acceptance rate drops to about 17% and tuition skyrockets.

@lostinapps @randomazn14 I think he meant to say in-state probably
