Plus the BME dept. at my current is messed up with course registration now so I might not even be able to get into my intended major here… which really, really sucks because that’s all I want to do.

If I don’t get into UNC I’m going to be soooo screwed…

eriche: Drive to UNC and get in their face. Surprisingly, this tactic works well, usually. Not sure about with AdComs, though. Will have to try.

Yeah, they definitely notified people way too late of their application being withdrawn… I hope theres still a chance of us finding out on friday… I have lost all my work ethic and motivation in the process of waiting for my decision…

Glad to see I’m not alone. My thought this morning, laying in bed, was something along the lines of “Why should I even go? I’m going to get my UNC decision in like 2 or 3 days. Ugh.”

I did get up. Grudgingly. Now I’m seriously doubting my ability to get to class on time, or at all. It’s only like 3 classes anyway…:)

Can someone explain why awaiting decisions makes one want to sit around and do nothing?

I’m with xMastemah. I’m sure it’s just a “late day”. Julie posted that they would be out by the 16th, and i don’t think that they’ll change that on the 15th.

They’ve consistently said that they will notify by the 17th, so i really wouldn’t be worried what one person at admissions said.

I took astrophysics last semester. My professor graduated from Cornell and sat in seminars with Carl Sagan… pretty awesome.

Haha, I’m so ready for Carowinds. I didn’t have the chance to try the Cobra last year but the new Intimidator looks rather nice. Still has nothing on Busch Gardens Europe, but oh well. I take what I can get.

Not gonna lie, I had to look that name up. Have heard it more than once before, though. Pretty sweet.

Mei, what’s your major again? Curious.

EDIT: Yeah, I wanted to try all 'dem shiny new coasters, haha. I hadn’t gone to the regular sessions much last year, if at all, just Scarowinds.

No clue. See, I have an incredibly indecisive personality. I love English/literature, but don’t particularly see myself doing anything in the field. My next choices are biology and sociology. Considering nursing/pre-med. Funnily enough, a year ago I was 100% set on going to culinary school. I’m a nutcase, really.

Eh, aren’t we all a bit indecisive at first? Or at least, we doubt our decisions.

I’m Biology now actually, but before that I was International Business. Before that was Computer Science. Before that, I was Biology. I do have perfectly good reasoning for all those, I swear, and no, not all of those were declared. I’ve only actually declared Biology.

UNC is definitely a good place to get into nursing/pre-med, though. I’m hoping it’ll help me make medical school connections seeing as there’s a SOM on-campus. :)

I went for my 18th birthday last year, but the line for the Cobra was far too long. Not worth it. I’m hoping to get a season pass this year since I’ll be so close. :)

And yeah, I suppose so. But I have interest in nearly every subject… save for math (calc scarred me). I haven’t declared anything yet. My friends at UNC think the “Comparative Literature” major completely suits me, but I dunno.

Agreed, UNC is an excellent pre-med school. My brother-in-law went to the SOM… 48 hour shifts during his residency. I like my sleep.

They mandated 18 hour shifts as the max. The bill will not add any provisions to it sadly…You basically need the hours for experience…It will cut our income though!
