Think about food. That always helps.

I can’t wait any more !!!

14-38 hours…Unless UNC has a deep history of letting letting transfers know on a Thursday, I wouldn’t put too much stock just into what day it came out last year

Just FYI,
UNC released decisions on April 10th (Th) in 2008 and April 9th (Th) in 2009.

Oh, great. Now time is going to pass unbearably slowly tomorrow. :(

BTW, in 2007, they got decisions on April 12th, which is also a thursday

ok well that’s a good sign…maybe we will get them tomorrow

Just checked – still nothing – oh well.

Well if there’s anything today that would be at 5 pm I doubt though.

I wouldn’t put money/hopes on what could easily be coincidence. They seem to be having a lot of trouble getting their sh`it straight this year.

just talked to the front desk @ jackson hall in person. she said she’s ‘thinking they’ll probably be posted tomorrow.’

Julie says:

Hi all!

I know the anxiety and stress of waiting for a decision is very hard, and I’m sorry for the confusion about the date we’ll release transfer decisions. We are planning to release decisions soon, and I’m sorry I can’t tell you the exact date and time but the truth is we aren’t absolutely certain we’ll be able to post them at a specific time, and we don’t want to promise something we can’t deliver. Trust me when I say we are working very hard to get all transfers students notified in as timely and orderly a fashion as we possibly can. We will be in touch with all students by email within the next couple days with information on how to view your decision on your MyUNC page. We’ll also send an email to those students whose decisions aren’t ready yet–for instance, if their application was completed late or if the Admissions Committee is still reviewing their application. We really appreciate your patience, and hope you’ll let us know what questions you have.

April 15, 9:00AM

something tells me its not today

There is no date. Nobody knows. >>;

People commented on there all nice and kiss-ass, but I’m not going to pretend like their work holds much more value than my decision. I paid $70 for that app, and will pay almost $20K a year to go to their school. I don’t know how hard it is to put together, but this is ridiculously bad PR.

– Whatever. I need to go to classs…

I like how Julie is all, “We don’t want to promise something we can’t deliver.”

Really? Because you kind of already promised the 16th. Now she’s saying the “next few days.” Honestly, I don’t believe she gives a **** at all.

I went from being hopeful our decision would be released on Friday to being hopeful that our decisions will be released sometime before the end of May by the rate this is going…

Well, transfer enrollment deadline is May 11th, so for sure before then!

(I’m usually a fairly nice and laidback person, but I wanna yell at them right now…)

BarkingAtHeels, exactly. One thing is for sure, and that is we’ll know our decisions before the 11th.

Well, UNC is a school of traditions, let’s hope that they keep with the tradition of releasing transfer decisions on Thursdays. Julie is just trying to calm the masses without making false promises.

Indeed that is understandable. 2007 some applicants were able to create an onyen account before decisions were released, but in 2009 accepted students had to pay an enrollment fee before they could set up an e-mail account (I believe). So is it the same this year?
