asdjlkajflkas df i cant handle thisss…going insanee

Yeah I would say that UNC has fixed all known glitches in their system that aided people in finding out decisions early…So having said that, I wouldn’t be worried any of these things. The only thing we need to be worried about is tomorrow when we all look at “View applications status”.

Worry tomorrow, when we’re all sitting on here at 4:59 waiting

haha, I’m not checking my application until some of you confirm that decisions are out. I remember how nervous I was as a senior in high school the day i was logging on to check my result for my current school… This is gonna be ten times worse.

Does anyone think that some people may hear today and another batch may hear tomorrow? In the past I remember reading that the decisions have not always come out at one time.

Nope, no one will hear today. Decisions will not be up until tomorrow after 5…For anyone. It’s possible that ALL may not be up tomorrow though…sadly.

That’s gross

where is everybody transferring from?

I’m at CPCC in Charlotte. I’m transferring to the J-school.

So i’m curious how a letter of recommendation from an alum weighs into applications. I wonder if they can get someone an edge or if it’s just a regular recommendation to UNC.

Everything I’ve read says that affiliation is a consideration, but I don’t know how much weight it carries. I had an alum recommendation just in case it would tip the scales.

I had a very in depth and personal letter of recommendation from an alum so I’d like to see how it weighs in to everything else. Then again, hopefully I got in on my own merit haha.

I asked the assistant director of admissions and he said all you need is one really good, really personal rec letter. apparently someone submitted 39 rec letters this year and they rejected them on the spot haha

You better not “need” any letter. For serious or even to be “considered.” If they even gave 2 sh`its about it, they should have said something about it.

39 is excessive! Did they have a criminal record? haha

anyways, from what I gathered, I guess a quality rec letter weighs quite a bit, and deff seems like it wouldn’t have hurt to send one. wish I had known, but I still think I’m pretty competative. time will tell. also, he seemed to lean towards next week for adm decisions, but he didn’t say exactly when they’d be out. he said they’re still working on them, so tmo sounds unlikely…

what the heckkk when i log into unc campus portal my view test scores/status doesn’t even show anymore…it just says apply now.

what the heck?
