*Official UNC Fall 2010 Transfer Thread*

I realized the paper application actually has TWO dates listed on it, lol.

Really… I had enough of argument/persuasion in AP Lang.

@xMastemah - What do you mean? I only see “on or around April 17.”

Page A1 - Student Profile. “Receive Decisions By April 15.”

For applications to the College of Arts & Sciences and JCM school.

I understand that admissions is busy, and have tons of applications, but I really don’t like the idea of giving out dates to begin with. There’s no reason to be throwing around by april 16/17 unless you are absolutely certain you can get it out by that date. If anything i’d much rather them say “by april 25” and give out decision early.

They’ve given out dates in the past and have stuck to them. Dead on, I believe, the last 3 years.

Well 16th was confirmed by administration on the phone so I’d like to say that’s the final :P

wow. tomorrow is a big day for me.
I have a midterm (which is for the hardest subjest- management)
My UNC decision
UCLA decision (rumors)

I will work till 4 pm central time, and will be able to check the decision right after that…

Anyone else reading the admissions blog and the comments? People are getting so hostile! I get people are frustrated, me too, but being a jerk doesn’t speed things along any. = / I personally wouldn’t want to find out I got in and then feel bad I acted like an ******* towards the people who decided I was worthy. Just a thought I had.

I am still singing that Carolina song I posted a few pages back, but changed the lyrics: “Carolina, I hope that you ad-mit me, Carolina, I’m sorry I got that C, forgive me”

Original song: [YouTube - Matt Wertz - Carolina](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbmlwFdTPPc)

yeah I love that song

I enjoyed the Racial Inequality debate. Thoroughly entertained by people getting rejected and blaming equal opportunity. Really glad I don’t have to share a class room with someone like that.

Tomorrow I have it easy so I don’t have to focus. A&P studying for test tuesday, sociology final, and won’t be home until ~4:30. That leaves 30 minutes to freak out and refresh this page constantly until I see “I GOT IN” and slowly have an aortic dissection from the slow loading screen.

The comment by Levi was from me. It was the worst one on there IMO, lol.

Damn it, Mei. Got me addicted to Casker…sheesh.

xMastemah, I knew it was from you, lol. I can tell the similarities in writing. :)

You seems happy with admissions xMastemah. Better hope they can’t trace you to your application. That’d kill my chances.

HAHAHAHA. Good. I think it helped prompt a reply from those arses.

Yes, I used a different e-mail with my application and FAFSA, anyway. I’m pretty sure they’re not gonna waste their time tracking my IP. Probably can’t anyway.

Computer technology class final: Find out who Levi is, get his IP, trace his emails, find his application, record multiple arrests for Indecent exposure.

Levi isn’t my real name. That’s a nickname. Can’t get my IP from a blogspot.

Muahaha.

Puts on CS major hat
Yeah, actually you can.
Takes of CS major hat puts on “PLEASE GIVE ME MY ING ADMISSIONS DECISION NOW” hat

You’d have to request it from them (with a good reason), or get it yourself through other methods, which strikes me as somehow…in the gray area of “legal.” Blogspot doesn’t readily show you the IP address of people who comment on your blog, and obviously it’s not on their own blog. Pinging the web address will only give you the IP address of the host.

D:

I feel I’ve been desensitized to psychotic b**ching this year. I’m in a CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) class this semester and you would not believe how hateful many people are toward doctors. This one woman in particular essentially asserts that doctors do nothing, are overpaid, don’t care about their patients, etc. And she does it in an extremely obnoxious/loud manner. I have no problem with calm debate, but people barking their heads off just makes me uncomfortable - I can feel my blood pressure rising as they continue talking, lol.

It’s good that you’re addicted to Casker, xMastemah. I feel such music is appropriate during stressful times such as this.

And I 2nd BarkingAtHeels - tracking IP isn’t all that difficult. Unless you always use proxies or something.

Chance Me:

I am a 28 year old non-traditional student. I have been active in my college during the last ten months after being laid off as a sales manager for an air cargo company. I am the VP for PTK Honor Society and PBL Business association. Also, I am a mentor for children in the county foster program. I applied as a junior transfer with a Finance A.A. from a Florida CC and a 3.90 GPA.

Thank you for any feedback or advice. Best of luck to everyone!!!
