*Official UNC Fall 2010 Transfer Thread*

Sounds like you have quite a good chance, although which classes you’ve taken, how many electives, etc. are also important. I wouldn’t be too worried since they take a lot of CC transfers and your GPA is far above the average for a junior transfer.

I work in an ER…Level 1…Talk about people being miserable, jackasses, and seeing nonsensical death daily. I try my hardest not to lose faith in some people, but luckily the ones you can save and help make the days great. It’s lame to say and sounds corny, but when you do reach those individuals it puts you on a high for a week. And we need it sometimes when something devastating happens (And in level one traumas that’s often).

Can’t believe UNC will post the admission results tomorrow. I’ve been waiting for this like forever.

See, that kind of behavior in an ER makes sense to me, though. I mean, these people are hurt, scared, confused… but having an everyday view that doctors don’t give a **** about you and only care about money is what I find really sad.

God I am sooo anxious. Anyone wanna chance me?

College GPA 3.746, (58 credits completed, 74 by the end of this semester), U of Minnesota, Twin Cities

HS GPA: 3.9/4.0 weighted

Do not have SAT or ACT (international student)

ECs: Volunteer, Finance Director, Office Assistant, Accounting Intern

True meilliem, but I know that no student who feels that way will make it through med school…and I’m thankfull I will never have them in my med school :)

Why are you worried with a near-perfect HS GPA, a college GPA ridiculously above the average for juniors, ECs and a job? Honestly.

EDIT @JesseG - I think a few slip through every now and then. That, or some become so numb and dissociated from being on the other side of the fence that they forget how to show empathy. I agree that the majority are good people with honest intentions, though. :)

Ok. Guilty pleasure. Does anyone look around for Tarheel gear to buy online if you are admitted? Even worse, do you already know the list of what you are going to buy if that holy day comes. Admission=a lot of my money gone haha

Haha! No, I don’t, but I just happen to have very limited school spirit. I’d probably buy a hoodie and maybe a car decal, but that’s it.

I am very nervous :frowning: everybody here has higher stat then I do :(

20 hours 30 mins left…

20/3000 are not gonna get in unctransfer, don’t worry. Just because some of us posting have high stats does not mean we’ll get in either

Actually, I’m fairly certain I have the lowest GPA. :stuck_out_tongue: Don’t worry, rejection isn’t the end of the world.

eriche1214 , what else have you applied, just curious.

@2010MOVEON:
UCLA, nyu, cornell and UVa.

Cornell is actually my first choice; but I know I only have a slim chance :)

I am int’l student and got same GPA and credit hours like you, applied cornell, uva and unc, what is your major?

Currently accounting and finance; switching to economics though.

any new news on why some had 2 PID’s?
