OFFICIAL University of Chicago EA Decisions - Class of 2014

bump this one so that all the new people who are coming on the forums and asking random questions post in this thread and not in the new one!

LOL, i wonder which one people will post their decisions in. We could send up having half in this one and half in the other one.

Haha looks like it’s impossible to keep people from posting in official decision threads!

yikes i just looked at last years ED post, and i think ill get flat out rejected. my essays were fantastic, but idk if thatll be enough to save me.

depressed.

Aha~Thanks!I’ll try to wake up by then!

Bump this one again since it’s familiar and contains good templates!lol
Motion,I also wonder if ppl will open up a new thread even!Lol Hopefully not~

columbiaorbust91,don’t be depressed!It’s just a decision(which is sooooo important ><)and it’s EA for here~~…

Gatita

This should be a “Discussion” thread rather than an “Official Decisions” thread. I think one of us should have created a discussion thread before or at the same time as a decisions thread. Then we could have had this thread suited exclusively to decisions which would have eliminated all this discourse. Of course, I am only working to exacerbate the problem of all this “irrelevant” discussion in relation to the title of the thread by posting this.

So what thread should we post in upon receiving our decision? I still choose this one since the title mirrors that of previous decisions threads, but the other “New” thread has less clutter.

I think that this should serve as an official discussion thread, and the other official decisions thread should just since people don’t seem to have enough courtesy to keep from posting in it.

Then, when decisions are actually released, a new decisions thread should be posted so that next year’s applicants won’t have to wade through pages of random discussion to find the actual results :P

Just my two cents . . .

This is why we shouldn’t post decision threads so early haha It seems that people post in them just for the sake of annoying others =.=

Oh well…But we did anyway…lol
Bump and Let that very new one sink until the D-day is really here~~

Well think of it this way. By posting here, when some poor c/o 2015 soul revisits these boasts countless times in his decision anxiety, he’ll be able to see the true emotions, worry, optimism, pessimism, everything else that’s a lot more important than seeing a cold facade of stats. What’s a decision thread even worth anyway. You could virtually imitate an accepted person’s stats and still get turned down. The converse is also true. We’re doing that poor soul (and other pour souls, who will hopefully remember to maintain the good cheer that characterizes our lot) a favor by preserving what should truly matter to a Chicago applicant, the people behind the statistics.

Or perhaps mods will merge all the threads into a consolidated EA/RD thread.

Anyway, I agree with evertheoptimist - I posted that idea in another thread as well. No need to start these threads so early.

just letting you guys know I’m rooting for you all, seeing as we’ll be in the same graduating class!

How awesome would it be if we all(some even) got in and we knew people semi-well beforehand? That would break the ice during oweek for sure. I’m still banking on that karoake contest and the scrabble tourney…fingers crossed I get in, that is. Plus ya’ll have an amazing taste in music, so I think we’d get along fairly well XD

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I concur, solittletime.

why do people care if there are posts in the results thread? look up every results thread on this website, you’ll see people rambling on or venting before the decisions are posted.

it’s just the internet, guys…

relax, everyone! good luck!

^ Because it would be annoying for next years class to sift through pages and pages to find actual stats.

^And is Chicago really the type of place for people who sit around obsessing about stats?
