[] Volunteer/Community service: Numerous events with my church and I organize events at the Yoga Studio where I work.
[] Summer Activities: Work, NYLF on Med, Internship with neurologist
[] Essays: The one I wrote for common app was my absolute favorite! The Penn specific one was good too. I let them know how interested I was in the school by listing specific activites though. Like Without A Net a comedy troupe. And CURF. And I had a background story as to the events leading up to me becoming interested in my projected major or Biological Basis of Behavior
[] Teacher Recommendation: Apparently amazing! One was my junior Chem teacher who used to work at a really good research lab and my other was my junior precalc teacher who apparently was a Penn graduate! She didn’t tell me until afterwards.
[] Counselor Rec: Alright I suppose. Probably mentioned how im determined cuz I never give up on pestering him when he gets my schedule wrong
[] Additional Rec: N/A
[] Interview:[/ul]Other[ul] Really good! He lives in my town and was a BioChem Major and music minor so we had a lot to talk about!

[] Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.):[/ul]Reflection[ul] None. Immigrant?
[] Strengths: My grades
[] Weaknesses: SATs
[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Because of my grades, extracurriculars, and essays. And the interview! No awkward lapses whatsoever. He had to stop himself because he had and appointment to get to and lost track of time.
[li] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Only had a chance to apply to 3 other scools and only heard back from one. Rutgers New Brunswick accepted[/li][/ul]General Comments: Penn honestly relies more on how you come off as a person to them. They want kids excited to learn and ones that they are sure will thrive in a city and use all of the opportunities allotted to them. So don’t worry too much about SATs and ACTs

@taitaitiedye congrats on getting into Penn! Just curious, why didn’t you disclose your ethnicity on the application?
