I just found out my best friend got into Stanford. I just want to know.

Hoping really really really hard that I can tell my best friend at Penn tomorrow that I am accepted

It’s so weird that a year ago today I had just starting researching Penn and obsessing over the college confidential Penn threads to see if I had any chance of admission. Now, I’m contemplating my actual acceptance to this school because it comes out in less than 24 HOURS. This is seriously so surreal and it’s making me so nervous. I seriously want this so bad and I’m going to be so upset if I have to forget about Penn after tomorrow because of rejection. Crossing my fingers…Please Mr. Furda, I hope you saw how bad I want this [-O< :-S

Let’s just hope that all of this hoping and praying works out. Decision time is the only thing I can think about

I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN!!! I mean…err… GET ACCEPTED!!!

Same here… not sure how I’ll be able to focus through a whole day of school tomorrow!

@EmpressofMars Hahaha, my APUSH teacher played that song last year after we finished our exam. XD

If we never submitted the financial aid form does that mean I could be rejected because I did not complete my application fully?

@ivyapplicant897 Nope! I called the admissions office about that. Financial aid really has nothing to do with admission. I haven’t submitted the forms yet either.

I found this quote by Dean Furda in an article:

“When you are admitting [12 out of 100 students] there is no one who is a shoo-in anymore. There is no foregone conclusion about a student being admitted. You go through the selection process and before you mail them out that week you look at the decisions you’ve made. We change the decisions up until they are posted.”

So one of us could be accepted as of now, but rejected at 5 tomorrow?! Oh man.

@PassionIsAll Thank gosh! did you ever receive that email saying you never completed it?

@ivyapplicant897 No! I’m pretty sure that the “missing forms” email was just a myth that came from last year’s threads haha. Not totally sure, but I think they send that email out at the RD deadline.

@pianogeek that also means if one of us was rejected we still have time to be accepted lol

^tru. Glass half full, right?

Fyi they played music last year if you are accepted.

@pianogeek A glass is always full because there is always air in it too so the correct expression would be a glass completely full. lol

I hope no matter the outcome, everyone goes to a school where they can be happy!!!

Has anyone seen this acceptance video? I have literally been watching it over and over again… How pathetic am I? :-S
