seems as though they are getting through and organizing the applications right now. THey said you should have received an email/will receive one very soon about missing materials. One of my two missing materials has changed to satisfied.

yeah i have stuff that still say that they are not satisfied such as my recommendations and fee being paid even thought i sent everything on time. hopefully they update soon or email me to tell me that they really haven’t received it yet.

for the instructor recommendations did any of you not five them the common app school form to fill out and just let them write a regular recommendation and sent it off to UPenn?

glad to know you don’t have to send a midterm report! lol Did we have 2 send the secondary school report? I asked the admissions guy at the time and he didn’t know which was weird…

It is odd cause on their transfer checklist it isn’t there and then on another part of their site it is. I called them and a lady told me it was required. I by accident sent them one with no grades, and then told them I would send them one when I received grades. What should I do then?

@mjg678 it’s called a dual degree if it’s between two schools. for example, CAS and Wharton, but you have to apply… unfortunately, since we would be external transfers, once at Penn we can’t transfer schools.

@MJG678:
i was wondering about that when i was applying and they told me that it would just be easier to apply just for a single major and then once you get into the school then u can do a dual degree if u want. but the ones that cudreams was talking about those are special accredited ones. you can still dual degree but those specific programs have special guidelines and u might not be able to get into it. it also depends on what year transfer ur coming in as.

^you’re thinking of a coordinated dual degree program. which external transfers are NOT eligible for…

I was explaining the process of a person accepted to CAS as a transfer. He/she is not eligble to transfer within UPENN again (aka from CAS to Wharton), but he/she can dual degree with CAS and Wharton. There is an application for this specifically. It is like a double major, but called a dual degree because it is in two different schools.

thank you, I actually found out I can dual degree, but obviously would have to apply, and it may take more time to finish … but that’s just rushing things, I need an admissions decision first!

I called this morning because I still have a missing item on my portal, and it turns out that same item was missing from another school I applied to… The person I spoke to told me she couldn’t check for me.

@cudreams:
yeah i have some stuff missing too. but they told me unless they send u an email saying its missing then u don’t have to worry about it. :)

I talked to them last week, and they said that their portal was having problems. Therefore, you may have everything in and items still show up as missing. As long as you didn’t get an email you have nothing to worry about it.
