***Official UW Class of 2023 Decision Thread***

Hey, @sophiac24 I’ll gladly share my stats:

SAT: 1200 Superscore
I do not do well with standardized testing which is reflected in my meager SAT score

GPA: College 4.0 and Cumulative is 3.91 (I am in Running Start)

EC: I am a catechist (teacher) that teaches second graders in a program called “The Youth and Young Adult Faith Formation”

I was a team leader in another program called “The Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement”

I was one of the head taekwondo instructors/assistants at my martial arts school

In Phi Theta Kappa at my College and NHS at my high school

I attended 3 UW programs/sponsored events: Shades of Purple in August, and Dream Project and iDUBs in September (I believe)

Essays: Been told they are very good because they emphasize my diversity, culture, and life struggles. However, I think they’re ok.

Major: Political Science and International Studies.

Hope that helps!

Oh, and may you tell us some of these indicators? @JasonBarclay
Thank you!

Good luck to everyone!!!

This is inaccurate. Admissions has not updated any student portals with admissions decisions or financial aid information at this time.

@JasonBarclay I would ask that you do not answer questions about UW Admissions or our decisions. Any information an applicant might need can be found on our website or by contacting our office directly. Our staff is ready to answer any questions from applicants.

The user @JasonBarclay is not a staff member in the UW Office of Admissions. If you have specific questions, feel free to contact our office directly. Decisions will be released March 1-15. Decisions are “rolling” within these two weeks, meaning you can hear at any point up until the evening of March 15th. When you might hear is not any indicator as to what your decision might be.

Thank you for clearing that up @UWadmissionstaff

@UWadmissionstaff Thanks for clarifying

@UWadmissionstaff thank you! We eagerly await our decisions! I am so excited haha

Hi @UWadmissionstaff! I was lurking through last year’s thread and I saw your comment that although the office advertises March 1st through March 15th as the notification period, the office was unable to start rolling decisions until much later. I was just wondering if there was a similar issue this year or if decisions will start to roll out tomorrow as planned?

Great question @bajepe71. That’s really what we want to know. Is there hope that there will be announcements on 3/1 @ UWadmissionstaff ?

I think decisions will mostly be out on March 7th or 8th. My guess looking at last year’s thread.

Did anyone apply for Business administration? What are the chances for a DA? Can you share your stats?

Did anyone else apply for international studies? What are your stats? Ahhh so nervous !!!

@helen662 i heard it was like an 8% acceptance rate and an average of unweighted 3.8 gpa. I’m not too sure though.

@helen662 I applied for business DA too and I’m super nervous + not confident whatsoever. 1490 SAT 33 ACT 3.907 UW gpa 10 APs and an average batch of extracurriculars.
On the business DA page it says that the average SAT of admits is 1410 I believe

@bbaaange ooh thank you so much!

@julsaguaro I’m on the same boat as you, my SAT is 1420 so it’s only slightly above the median score so fingers crossed, my SAT also isn’t that much higher but you know what it’s fine :), I’m just hoping to get into UW because I really like the campus and I’m willing to work to get in the major later lol.

Even though March 1st is like 15 minutes left, I cannot wait to know the result. I did not realized how impatient I am until now. Did anyone here apply for Pre-health?

@TOAOMC any results?
