Official Vanderbilt 2015 Fall Transfer Thread

accepted by chemical engineering on April 4th. I wonder when can we get the information of how many credits will be transferred? after we submitting the deposit? also struggle between Washington university is St. louis and Vandy, any suggestions?

@Andrewchen48 I have over 120 credits, so vandy is definitely the way to go. Since vandy would transfer all the eligible credits. They will start to process transfer credits after you pay the 400 bucks and then you need to submit all the syllabus for the classes you have taken.

@Andrewchen48 when did you submit your complete application? You’re the only Engineering major I’ve seen had a decision

Accepted to CAS on Monday (also UNC Chapel Hill). GPA 3.7 top private hs, 3.75 freshman year at top 10 LAC.
Planning to attend!

@newbee18 My application was completed on march 16th, it only took them 2 weeks to give me an offer.

@TransferIntl all the eligible credits?

@Andrewchen48 Yeah. Andy does not have a cap. They just require you to stay there for two years. Which makes a lot of sense.

I was admitted to Peabody and got my notification on April 6th

During the summers I went on a mission trip to Peru (before sophomore year), was a camp counselor (before junior), and went on a mission trip to the Philippines (before senior)

I decided to go to another university, however, so that’s one more open spot for y’all at Vandy! good luck guys:)

Hey guys just out of curiosity my account says completed but it hasn’t changed to saying something along the lines of being sent for review. Does vandy change status to review or it stays at complete and then suddenly changes to your decision?

@ccheese96 out of curiosity, where did you choose? As I know that most haven’t released yet.

also, to the thread in general: I am most likely staying put at my current university, so there’s another spot freed up!

@screenjunkie when does Stanford release their decisions? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I go to College in St. Louis. I would choose Nashville 10 out of 10 times. Reasons why I’m looking to transfer. WashU is a good school though…

@johnnyappleseede Stanford is around 5/15. Are you a fellow applicant? As they only accept around 10/1500, there’s really no realistic chance of getting in, so I’m just ready to stay put haha

@newbee18 it goes straight from completed to a decision interface

Is the $400 deposit binding, or does it function like senior year when you are able to put a deposit down at one school and then go to another school if other options open up. Or are you committing to paying next semester’s tuition if you put down the deposit? I couldn’t find this info on Vandy’s website.

@MJP2018 deposits are never binding. You just don’t get the deposit back if you go somewhere else

I never been to St.louis. How’s the city compared to Nashvile? @jacksunnyd

So are we expecting the next round of decisions to come out tomorrow?
btw, congrats to everyone that’s already gotten in and/or to other places they’ve heard back from! :slight_smile:

Yes @resipsa338, the next round of decisions will come out tomorrow
