Good luck to everyone! And just remember that whatever happens happens for a reason. You all sound like wonderful people who will do great things! I have convinced myself I am not getting in lol, so I’m not too nervous. I just want to know and have it done with!
thanks @cls2016ucls2020 and good luck to everyone!!
Ugh I’m so ready! I have several great back-up options but I’ve been eyeing Vandy for 2 years now. I’m not a very good standardized test taker so I know my chances are low but I’m still hoping. Hoping for the best and preparing for the worst I suppose… I’ll just be so glad to finally have an answer! I wish everyone luck! Hopefully a few will get to see each other next year on Vanderbilt campus!
“May the odds be ever in your favor!”
ugh i probably won’t get in because my gpa and test scores are just good and not perfect. i thought i’d try though because i’ve loved the school my entire life and my dad’s dying words to me were “anchor down, commodore” so we’ll see! i guess i’m still hoping for the best even though i know the outcome
Just got my e-mail. Wondering what the result shall be… Made an account for the aforementioned reasons of the hype is killing me + we might be classmates
so i read through some of the old blog posts for ED 1, and for class of 2019 and 2018 they said it was the largest and most talented groups, but they did not say that for 2020, so does that mean that less people applied this year which would mean a slightly higher acceptance rate? There’s hope guys! This is all i have going for me beside my stress eating
@ieubfwig you never know! Just stay positive and remember there are several other options out there! Remember we did our best and that’s all that matters.
Thought I might update you all with a countdown that ends at 5:30 (instead of 5:00). Best of luck
It’s important to remember that we’ll all end up where we belong in the end, regardless of what MyAppVU says tomorrow. In all of this frenzy, things will work out for each and every one of us. We just have to take it one day at a time, or, in this case, one hour at a time. Best of luck to everyone, I know you’re all more than qualified.
Did everyone’s email start with “We are pleased to announce that…”? Way to get hopes up, only to read the rest… Well, tomorrow will tell.
This is so crazy omg let me die
Anybody not get an email?
I’m at my sister’s band recital on the brink of tears because D DAY
I’m shaking… hoping a 35 and 4.2 will be enough
have all of yall finished your CSS stuff?
I’m sure that as long as your extracurriculars, essays, etc. were solid you will be fine.
What test scores SAT and ACT do you think are like right on the boundary for Vanderbilt. Obviously there are people they get in with low test scores, but what do you think the lowest scores are to have a decent shot? 2100 and 32?
@Vandy12020 last year the ED 1 and 2 50% middle was 33-34, but a lot of people did get in with lower scores and the overall 50% middle for class of 2018 was 32-34! Sorry I only know ACT because I didn’t submit SAT!
I would say that a 32 is a reasonable “low” (obviously a 32 is great, but Vandy is competitive) score to be considered a competitive applicant!! Maybe 30, 31, but a 32 is probably more likely to be considered
I think that a 2000 and a 31 are the lowest. I have seen a few kids get in with those scores but none lower than that. I could be biased though because I got a 2060 and I’m hoping to get in.
