Ready to receive my rejection in the mail T_T

Kinda knew that my chances were slim to begin with . I’m just happy that I tried my best while applying !

Now I’m ready for whatever mail comes in the next few weeks.

I live in a pretty small city, so I’m hoping I’ll get something today. I really don’t want to wait for another week to see if I’m in the second wave…

I got my application-complete email today -_- i do not like the way things are going… ready to receive my rejection letter too

I only applied to Vandy and didn’t submit my fafsa for my current school (U of Southern Cal) so I can’t afford to return. Also had trouble submitting my College Official’s Report so I didn’t meet the priority deadline. If I don’t get in its a semester of work, a spring application to IU, and a likely break-up with my girlfriend who is entering Belmont.

So yeah that’s what I’m waiting on. Best of luck to you all :)

ok, you win @calej93 lol

Yep, nothing today -__________-

Almost positive I’m in the second wave, which basically means woo-hoo! I get to wait another 6 days for a potential decision!

Awkward moment when the mailman doesn’t come to your house today for no apparent reason…

anyone on the west coast get anything??

Agreed Calej-- that’s salt in the wound! You win the prize.

still nothing here in Florida…
I just want to know already!!

no news, left coast. good news?

Hey could all of the new people looking at the discussion now or that have recently posted something put your application stats up?

Yup, just got an acceptance today. From Texas, got the letter at my school in SoCal.
stats:
GPA-3.5
SAT-2190
ACT-32
HS GPA-2.7
I guess they liked the increase in GPA, and I took a very strong courseload this year. Also strong extracurriculars and recs.

***FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF, where’s my decision???

I am still waiting on my decision as well.

It’ll be a minor setback if I don’t get in, but the world won’t end. We all are bringing something special to the table and not all of us can make it. Congrats to everyone who was admitted and best of luck to those still waiting!

Calej93, I agree with you. You have a great attitude. Every one of us is qualified to attend Vandy and they’d be lucky to have us. It’s a numbers game, and who knows what ultimately gets us accepted, waitlisted or denied? For those of you just waiting with us, why don’t you introduce yourselves, so instead of popping in with your one and only post saying you’re accepted, denied, or WL’d, we can celebrate or commiserate with you?

I’m from Virginia and haven’t heard anything.

Yeah I disagree, not everyone applying is qualified to attend Vandy. But I think if you’ve worked hard and challenged yourself with rigorous courses both in college and hs, then I believe the counselors will see your dedication and academic accomplishments. In the end I think they will admit applicants who they believe will make the most out of the resources available at Vandy, not just applicants who simply want to attend because the school is more prestigious.
