You’re sure they mailed Tuesday?

That’s what someone was told ^^^

Well, I don’t know about everyone else, but my counselor told me MY decision was mailed on Tuesday.

Good luck, Cfisher–I hope you get a big Vandy envelope today.

and, apparently, nothing in the mail out west today.

Thanks! I didnt receive anything today, but hopefully I get something tomorrow. I go to UMD and getting mail here sucks because it takes sooo long.

There’s 90% chance that I will be turning down Vandy’s offer so hopefully one of you will receive my spot.

Good luck to all of you still waiting or those on the WL. If you aren’t admitted, don’t lose hope. Vandy has an awesome graduate school.

Nobody’s been accepted on here for almost a week…or really gotten any decision. Sigh.

If what you guys were saying is true…Why weren’t we just wait-listed weeks ago? Putting our applications to the side and waiting for spots to open before accepting or rejecting us doesn’t sound much different than a wait-list, and people have been wait-listed already.

Walking up to the mail box is the most dreadful part of my day. I held my breath when I opened it today, only to find nothing.

Do those who are still waiting have other acceptances in their pocket? Is Vandy your first choice?

Newtocollege, Vandy is essentially my top choice and I am still unfortunately waiting on a decision. The other two schools I am seriously considering I still haven’t heard anything from either. I will say that Vanderbilt’s admissions department goes above and beyond with any help/questions I have. The admissions departments at my other choices have been very poor in answering any questions I have about deadlines, requirements, decisions and the entire transfer application process.

I just sent in my declining of acceptance to Vandy. Best of luck to everyone else waiting. they are very generous in financial aid and are so helpful! i just went to visit Tuesday to make my final decision, and although it was a most wonderful visit with great people, staff, and an amazing campus, something just didn’t feel right for me, so I truly hope one of you with your hearts set on Vandy get my spot! best of luck.

I’m still waiting, and I don’t have any other acceptances. I got my rejection from UChicago and Yale during the past few days, and I’m only waiting on Vanderbilt and Penn now. My professors, colleagues, friends, and family keep asking me if I’ve heard back from anywhere yet, but I’ve only had the guts to tell a few people. Everyone has been telling me I would definitely get in for months now, and I hate to let them down… Hopefully, I will hear back from Vanderbilt on Monday and finally have some good news to tell people.

The worst is having to tell my professors who wrote recommendations for me, because I know they put a lot of time and effort into writing the recommendations. My favorite professor thinks I am the best math student he’s ever had (and he’s like 70 so that means a lot, I think). He’s been saying I’ll definitely get in because he wrote me such a good recommendation for months now, ugh! How can I tell him I got rejected??

^ I’m having the same problem! Somehow, EVERYONE on my campus seems to know that I applied and I get asked several times every day if I’ve heard back yet. When I say no, they all have the same reply. “Oh. Well, I know you’ll get in.” So, if I don’t, I have no idea how I’ll tell all these people LOL. At least at this rate, I won’t find out til after I move back home…

I have been accepted to other places and have some nice financial aid lined up, so being rejected won’t be -horrible-… but I’ll be extremely bummed cause Vanderbilt is my top choice by far.

I got my acceptance yesterday! It was sent out on May 8. I hope that is helpful to some of you.

What are your stats?

College: top 40
HS GPA: 3.8/4.0
College GPA: 3.9
ACT: 32
Did not write a Vandy specific essay.

Still nothing. I am going to have a full head of gray hair by the time this process is over.

To those who have been accepted: how long after you sent in your deposit have you heard back? I sent mine in over a week ago, and called yesterday to confirm that they have it, but still have not gotten any emails or mail from them since my acceptance, apart from the admitted students questionnaire.
