<p>I went to a public high school and graduated with a 3.7 and a lot ec’s. I did not have a high ACT or SAT. I also only took two AP classes, if I recall correctly. There were not many AP classes offered at the time (hopefully that has changed).</p>

<p>I now go to a relatively good school out-of-state, and I have a 3.6 gpa with a few ec’s that I am very passionate about, and I do a lot of volunteer work. I have also taken advantage of every opportunity I have had to study abroad and do other things within the U.S. (Oh, I am currently a rising junior.)</p>

<p>I am pretty happy to be on the wait list. I think it is an accomplishment within itself to be considered by Vanderbilt.</p>

<p>My mail came today, but there was nothing for me. I still have four weeks of school left. This wait would be so much easier if I didn’t have schoolwork to try to focus on.</p>

<p>I’m still waiting in Michigan. There was a problem with one of the forms my school filled out, so I had to resubmit that one, but my app was supposed to be reviewed quite some time ago.</p>

<p>Well I have to say don’t give up hope people. Accepted today in ID. Shocked, happy and conflicted. Letter dated May 13. Tyrone and Anontransfer, thanks for the pep talks over the past couple of days. I’m pulling for you Anontransfer, and the rest of you here.</p>

HS GPA: 3.4
ACT: 25
College GPA (when I applied/16 credits): 3.87
Working 30 hrs a week, one extra curricular.
Awesome recommendation, pretty good essays. Closest to Vandy specific I could get.
Political science major; prospective Arabic minor.</p>
