Random thought… My backup universities do not have financial aid programs that are as strong as Vanderbilt’s. (i.e., amount of aid and the aid being loan free) It’s really starting to get to me that if I am not admitted to Vanderbilt that I will more than likely have to return to my current university if I do not get enough aid from my backup schools. Yikes…

I wonder if anyone has heard anything on the WL

Well, I just saw on the blog that four days ago they had not yet begun making offers from the transfer waitlist, but when they do they will contact you directly if you have been admitted, or if you have been officially removed off the waitlist.

Yikes, that last part sounds pretty harsh. I guess whatever is meant to be will happen.

I saw that, too. And if I’m not mistaken wait-list decisions can stretch on until mid-July. Eeeek. So ridiculously anxious. I’ve just been accepted into my state school, so I’m starting to make my “back up” plans. My hearts really not in it but whatever happens, happens I guess!

I know, I’m starting to become way too anxious as well. Hopefully we will hear something (good) before then. What area are you from?

Florida! What about yourself?

^Hey, me too! I’m waitlisted at Vanderbilt and got into UF

I am from TN. Any new updates…

When they say they will “directly” contact us, what do you think it means? Email? Phone call?

In the past it seems that they mailed letters, but I was thrown by the ‘contact you directly’ also…

I am so over this waiting game. Deposits/other plans need to be made elsewhere and yet I’m still stuck waiting for a decision. The way I look at it, they never really made a decision about my application and then pushed it aside to be wait-listed and then looked at later. Sigh.

That may be the case, but who knows? Hopefully there will be some mail this coming week…! I wonder how many people they wait list for transfers…

Has anyone heard anything? Anyone? Even if it’s not good news?

Nada for waitlist…so worried about it :(

Called early this morning and was told a few “waves” have gone out, and that they are very close to closing the class. I was shocked. I had no clue that any decisions had even been made! I’m hoping the person I spoke to didn’t confuse the transfer waitlist with the freshmen wait list. Either way, it doesn’t sound promising for me because I haven’t heard anything.

They probably confused it with the first year class. I could be completely wrong, but according to the blog they just started to make offers off the transfer wait list. Also, I do not think they make offers in official waves but more so on a rolling basis, as they have room.

That’s for the transfer wait list. I know they do waves for the incoming first year class.

If anyone has heard anything, please post it! Especially if you got an acceptance letter! Let us know the dates on the letter and envelope and everything…clearly I’m getting anxious.

I got accepted on wed (6/5/13) I was waitlisted but I think I was at the very top because I sent in my spring grades and I was accepted within days after I submitted the transcript. To be honest I was quite shocked at the turn around, I was expecting to wait for weeks until at least the end of June.

Oh and I forgot to mention. They emailed me the decision and mentioned that it would also come in the form of a paper copy…
