Although you were wait-listed at Vanderbilt, congratulations norcalpsych! Johns Hopkins and Cal are two great schools.

I mailed my deposit for Vandy yesterday, so I will be attending! Good luck to those who are still waiting and also to those of you who were wait-listed.

Got wait-listed today. …

Obviously a small sample but looks like a huge wave of waitlists released this week. I wonder what this means for me…anyone still waiting after today please let me know I’m not alone!

Can anyone tell me how much effect the spring semester grades have for the wait-listed.

i am still waiting .hoping i have already been accepted but it is taking them a while to put my financial aid package together hahahaha… but i am already committed to Richmond and on the wait list at UNC so we will see and my counselor is already out of the coountry!

Not surprised the thread activity has totally declined over the past week

anyone know how generous they are with wait listed people?

Hi guys! This is my first time posting but I’ve been following this thread for a while. Like some of you I was also wait listed. I got my decision on May 3 but just a little anxious now so I figured it would be a good time to post. Has anyone heard anything from the wait list, or if they generally accept people off of the wait list? Also, does anyone know how the process works, do they chose at random or reevaluate applications? I’ll be sure to keep other wait-listees informed if anything happens on my end!

Nothing in the mail again today…still waiting…still waiting…

I wish I could find more on transfer wait list statistics… Sigh. We all need to keep our heads up!

I will let everyone know if I hear of anything!

As of right now, all I know is that according to the information we received with our letter it says to send in Spring semester grades ASAP. It also says that they anticipate being able to take ‘a number’ of people from the waitlist.

Anyone know when they will start sending out offers to people on the WL?

Eric2idea, if I were you, I would definitely call Vandy and ask about your admissions decision. It sounds like it may have been lost in the mail or something.

I just called and found out the last batch was mailed out on Thursday. I still haven’t received anything, and I was once again transferred to my admissions counselor who I was once again unable to get in touch with. I’ve also tried emailing her twice now in the past few weeks and have never received a response. I’m not really worried it was lost in the mail, I’m more worried that my application was never reviewed at all.

I really hope you hear something soon! When my counselor was out and the on-call counselor didn’t pick up, I literally went to the list of counselors and picked a random one to call. Most were happy to help! I’m hoping perhaps you can get in touch with one of them and they can give you specifics on your application.

Eric2dea the last batch was mailed out last Thursday? I wonder what is going on with your app! It may have just been overlooked by mistake. I would try to speak to someone else about it! Best of luck.

Does anybody know which dorms are the best to live in Sophomore year? Also, does anyone need a roommate at all?!

I think there may be a Facebook for that…

eric2dea
Did you hear anything yet? Even though it was priority mail, my acceptance letter took nine days to arrive to my home from the day it was sent (and I live in Illinois, which is only two states away from Tennessee). Maybe you will receive something soon if you have not already.

Also, good luck to those of you on the wait list.

I was able to get in touch with my counselor yesterday and she told me that my current school did not completely fill out the college official’s report. When they contacted my school’s registrar, they said they could not answer the info that Vanderbilt wanted, and then Vandy for some reason did not contact me. So my application has not been reviewed yet.
