I was wondering what would be good clothing to bring on Official Visits? I imagine neat but not too dressy? Nice jeans/courderoys? Polo shirts? Some of these Officials will also include a visit/interview with Admissions. I imagine one can still look "nice casual" for those too? I am thinking specifically of a girl, but I am sure lots applies to both boys & girls. Any advice from those who have gone through this before would be very appreciated - thank you!!

At most of S’s official visits, nice jeans/khaki’s and polo shirts were fine along with more casual clothes for attending class, observing practice, hanging out with the team. At one school, the coach specifically asked him to bring a dress shirt & tie to wear during meeting with admissions, so your athlete might ask the coach what he/she would recommend.

For an interview with admissions, a girl might bring a (not too mini) skirt with a sleeved top ( no tank top or plunging neckline), or slacks and top.

If the OV is in September, check the weather site for temps, but most campuses, even New England, will still be hot until mid Sept.

For west coast schools, shorts, sandals, neat tops for daytime non-interview functions. A cute “going out” outfit for the inevitable nighttime social activity: dark jeans and clubbing type top. Light jacket for cool nights or rain.

^^^Thank you for the tips! Pretty much what we are thinking, but it is good to have our thoughts confirmed. Good idea to keep on top of the weather too. Thanks!
