its amazing of a campus, ive never been to wlu and being from the north it was a toss up
i hope i made the right decision if i get in

ooh you havent visited? you definitely should, its a sweet place. So where are you from then?

im from south jersey lol

ahh sweet! well I’m from north jersey

i wonder what the total ED numbers were for this year compared to last year…

hey guys i applied early and I find out this coming friday the 18th because apparently they tell the coaches before the letters are sent and they can tell their recruits. I heard that last year they got 600 applicants for ED 1 and they expected similar numbers this year. Good luck with you applications!

ooh wow that high? i could have sworn it was around 450 or so… are you a girl or boy?

wow, do you know if that 18th date is true for all recruited athletes? what sport do you play?

i am a boy in response to newjersey. And I run track so the track coach finds out from the admissions office on the 18th but i don’t know what its like for all other sports. I don’t even know if the admissions standards are the same for all the sports, do you? For track the averages of past admitees were 1900 sat 3.5+ gpa, top 15% or above and 650 on 2 sat 2s

so are you on par with that?
and im pretty sure W&L gets more like 450 ED apps not 600

hey mmoran–did you fill out the track recruitment form? i applied to w&l a few weeks ago for RD but i haven’t filled out the equestrian recruitment form yet…i’m wondering if i’ll hear earlier if i do.

in response to new jersey, i got a 1970 on the sat 1360 for the two sections, a 3.9 GPA, top 10% national honor society, captain of track team, and editor of newspaper, I interviewed and I sent them a letter stating my desire to attend so i honestly would be supprised if i didn’t get in based on the fact that all my scores are above average and I have shown a strong desire to go there. And to the other question i did not fill out a coaching form I just directly emailed the coach because I was onyl being recruited by d1 schools not d3. I have had a great experience with the coaches at W&l. My advice would be to do what i did and explain who you are and what your about and they’ll be much more receptive to that then just some number son a form. Good luck

Hey all,

So, as you might expect, I am applying to Washington and Lee ED. I have lurked around this thread for a couple of weeks now, but never got around to making a CC account.

Here are some stats of mine:
Sat- 2020
Sat 2 Math: 690
Lit: 640
My school does not rank.
GPA is 3.3?? However, my school is one of the more prestigious, extraordinarily difficult private schools in the northeast.
I submitted an art portfolio of my work, was in some state competitions. Do not know how much sway that will have with the admissions department.
I also have a pretty good essay going along, that might help a bit.

Anyway, like all of you, I am getting really really REALLY excited for the letter to arrive. I realize that I do not have the best of chances to get in, but I can dream. I just have to be realistic about it.

The best of luck to all of you.

I’m sure your chances are great, laxerfan…
anyone check the blog regularly?
one of the admissions people said we could expect the letters any day now…

Letters are in the mail says the blog…
anyone think Ill get mine by saturday in NJ?

NJ,

I hope so, because we are anxiously awaiting for a letter here in Missouri. Good Luck to you and all ED1ers.

Thanks, good luck to you as well!

Just got admitted!

congrats! but how do you know?

Cool. Did the track coach call you?
