Official Wellesley Class of 2014 Decisions Thread

I work at admissions and although we’re on EE now, we apparently had a lotttt of ED applicants… I feel like every student is an individual case so if you had perfect scores, etc, don’t feel bad!

(if you were rejected)

wellesleywoman - any idea on how many EE applicants there are this year? also, i’m not sure this is the best place to ask, but about how many EE applicants receive a likely letter?

and what does EE mean, sorry to be naive :]

EE is Early Evaluation. You just send in you application early and the admissions council will send you a letter in March saying you are ‘likely’, ‘possibly’, or ‘Won’t’ get accepted. Your application then moves into the RD pile…

Just wanted to bump up this post so that we can post stuff tomorrow when EE “decisions” come out! (although yeah EE isn’t official… i think we should still post)

nvm! there is another post for EE decisions. Click here to see them: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/wellesley-college/871011-official-wellesley-college-ee-decisions-class-2014-a.html

Hey everyone!

I wish I had applied EE but chose not to because of a discrepancy in my first quarter senior year grades.

Can’t wait until April 1st!! ( :

ocgirl92 - I applied RD when I applied to Wellesley. It’s not too long of a wait

ps. OC REPRESENT <3

welles10 - Wooohooo OC!! ( :

Haha I guess I’m getting a little impatient…

i heard that wellesley decisions come out march 16. is this true?

caterpillar14 - Where did you hear this?

In 2006 we got decisions the last week of March… I think they try to keep a similar timeline each year…

welles10 - Do you know if we find our decisions via mail or internet in the last week of March?

I got mine in the mail. I am not sure if they have changed the policy since 2006 though.

I believe since it went through the mail, international decisions were sent out first, and then obviously people on the east coast got their decisions a few days before people on the west coast.

Be nice to your postman/woman! :)

Hi,
This is my first post on CC. I am from Italy. I have applied to Vassar, Wellesley and UNC. Anyone out there from Italy? Congrats to all ED who have been accepted to the college of their choice!

welcome to college confidential and the wellesley forum, pozzol :)

^ Second that! :)

Hi Guys,

Thanks for greetings. Back in Nov. I decided to apply to colleges in the US. I attend a ridiculously difficult public Liceo Classico in Florence Italy. Oriana Fallaci was an alumnae. I chose to apply to four colleges: Wellesley, Vassar, UNC and Duke. We do not have teams or team spirit. No bullentin boards or dances. Our classroom has one tiny blackboard with little mouse size holes in it. We must stand when the professor walks in the room. There are no choices in courses. You are given a course load and that is that. There is no rapport at all with the professors. None. We are there to learn with hopes of graduating; not with perfect grades but graduating. We are told the first day of class that half will not graduate . I knew it would be difficult when I signed up as 14 year old and with only a few nerves intact I am still hanging in there. My course load for this year is as follows: ancient greek lit.+translation, latin lit. + translation, (ancient greek and latin grammar are taught the first two years and you had better pay attention or the next three years are impossible), art history, italian lit, Dante, physics, geology, astronomy, world history, philosophy, english lit and gym. (Our gym is the open air courtyard of the palazzo.) Part 1
