Hey! I thought for a while that I was the only one who wanted to do ED with Wes but I’ve seen a few other people and I got really excited that I wasn’t alone. I visited Wes with their Travel Assistance program and fell in love. So, needless to say, I’m super nervous now So ED for Wes:

Wes was the first school I visited and I knew - even last October - that I was most likely going to apply ED. And now, a dozen other college visits later, the truth still holds. :-)

yea im applying ED, i orignally was all about ivies (dartmouth) but after a while i realized wesleyan was basically equal academically, had a much better music program and more specifically a phenomonal classical guitar teacher, wanted me to row, and isnt beerfest frat party EVERY weekend, so hopefully ill get in and see the rest of you there next fall!!

well im an international applying to Wes for ED:)
i was searching for a school with good film studies courses and art history
and that's when i found Wesleyan.
im really excited about the school and hopefully.. will get accepted:)

i hope to see all of you on campus next fall:)

i too am an international applying early decision to Wes.... i'm actually going to visit during the open house on monday :) and im looking forward to that...

i gather that wesleyan does not require first quarter grades to be sent for early decision applicants, but did you guys send yours? (i will be applying ed as well...yay wes!)

So do you think applying ED will really increase our chances that much?! I know that a lot of spots are probably taken right away by alumni children and sports people.

well.. im the only one applying to ED in our high school and really i think it depends on who you are applying with within your high school.. like it allows adcoms to directly compare one student with another if they are from the same school...
in 2007 there was a student from my school who got in with 3.45 gpa and two way sat 1420 and three way 2020... and im an international living in Korea... maybe minority thing played a bit...... im really crossing my fingers right now:(

wow. i think that as a minority, you have an excellent shot. Hardly anyone from my school has been accepted, and I go to a very competitive high school in New Jersey. Even people with like 2300 SAT scores have been waitlisted. :( I am counting on my essay and recs to help me hahah.

Starting to get really nervous :) on of my teachers hasn't sent to rec and I have nooooo idea which one it is so I need to go bug BOTH of them lol.

I sent my application in mid October. Everything else is in as well, so now it's on to the waiting game for me. I don't know if I'll be able to handle it...

wow thats rather well planned out gg0624, I had everything done prolly since October
20th - ish but I couldn't let go of my essays and I'm rather glad I didn't because they have gotten much better since then through a lot of editing.

And Plus I could never wait that long, I'd rip all my hair out in anxiety and never sleep, with a month's wait I'll only recede my hairline a bit and only begin to develop heavy dark circles around my eyes...

i've submitted my essays on the 3rd and have sent all the other materials by DHL on the 7th.............................................. so nervous

Still waiting on teacher recs... my ACT scores come out on the 12th so I will probably turn everything in on Wednesday for sure. I have a couple questions to ask my counselor about common app as well so I'll probably take care of that on monday. :) I can't believe in a little more than a month we'll have our answers!

I'm so nervous guys!! We will be able to check the status of our received materials once we submit our common app... right? I know that my transcript has been sent in, but the "wescheck" doesn't say it is has or not because I have no submitted my common app. Have fun waiting guys! :)
