Congrats, Waitingwishing and Supertramp!!! I'm so happy for you guys :)
So acceptance does come in a big package?

(Is it obvious I'm obsessively refreshing this thread every 10 minutes?)

I got my acceptance package today too! I'm literally crying; I was a nervous wreck before!

Congrats to everyone that got in and good luck to those who were deferred! I hope to see you guys next year on Foss Hill! You are an amazing group!

It comes in a big white letter send by first class mail. The acceptance package itself comes in a red envelope with Wesleyan University stamped across it in silver.

gg0624 - I started crying too! I actually don't know how I'm going to do work for the rest of the year...
I really want to roll/sled down Foss Hill right now! Where are you from?

New Jersey! I just joined the Facebook group. I'm Marisa. :-)

hey congrats everyone! i got rejected but it proves the point that this year really was MUCH harder than ever before and the focus is obviously on SAT scores - guitarguy i feel ya! maybe i'll be better off at a school with a journalism program anyway

GOOD LUCK TO MY FELLOW REJECT-EES - their mistake!!!

WHY IS EVERYONE FINDING OUT BY ME GAAH.
But CONGRATS!!!!!!! TO EVERYONE WHO GOT IN!!!

My midterms start on TUESDAY so I'm literally going to find out RIGHT before I have to take them.

Congrats to everyone who got in! If you have any questions about life at Wes, dorms, etc, feel free to PM me.

To those who didn't, I'm so sorry. But there are tons of fab schools that will love to have you!

i got in! big package early this morning . i agree with flying pig that they want to see the greater applicant pool before making decisions.

To those of us deferred:

"Now is the time to start sucking up." -direct quote from my poor mom. She's far more bitter than I am, lashing out (privately, of course) at parents of kids accepted this week (to any college). Ought to start a goddamn breakfast club of parents of deferred kids.

Deferred to ED II. I kind of want to die. But I suppose if I did that, I'd kill my chances of ever getting in huh? So I'm holding it together. (baked goods have been a major help) What I want to know is, do they defer anyone to RD anymore?

and of course, congrats to those who got in. I hope I'll be meeting you next year

Apparently I spoke too soon -- my mail just was delivered late today, but I received my acceptance package today too :)
I'm about to join the Facebook group too :)

For the last time, congrats to everyone who got in and a sincere BEST OF LUCK to everyone deferred/rejected with the college search and beyond. You're all awesome.

Flying_pig, Gabs: Thanks for the words -- I hope to see you next year, too.

Gem: Keep hope, yo. I haven't heard of any deferrals to RD this year.

Gem: I think they just automatically defer to EDII, and then if you would rather do ED, they let you switch.

flying_pig: Congrats!

Has anyone from the Boston area gotten theirs? I was hoping to get one but now it looks like I will have to wait until next week (boarding school).

I know Wellesley Senior High got their results. If anything, I heard you can call Admissions on Monday to find out.

I'm so sorry, classicalguitar. :(
this is one more reason I hate answering chances threads (I can be wrong!)

Congrats to all who got in!!! :)

And for those who didn't: You guys are really awesome people and Wes screwed up :( You are going to go to great school no matter what!

No mail today: West Coast people are going to have to wait til Monday I guess. I am seriously going to die waiting. Can't concentrate on anything else.

to the pre-frosh :) - welcome!
to the deferred- don't lose hope!
to the rejected- best of luck on the rest of your college process!

My daughter was accepted to Wesleyan ED and I just wanted to thank this community for helping to calm my nerves during this process! She was a recruited athlete with exceptional test scores and grades. I am just mentioning that fact because some people have inquired how much it helps to be a recruited athlete. I think it helps but I also think you still need very strong academic credentials at an NCAA Division III school -- at least that was the impression she was given during the recruiting process.

Good luck to those of you who were deferred. You picked a tough year to apply to Wesleyan!

Argh! It rained today, the mail was late and I hypervenelated through all of my classes and... nothing. It better come tomorrow. At first I was just scared of it but now I really don't care, I just want my letter/package or whatever I get :(
