<p>My interviewer told me that there are 300 Wharton ED applicants from the MD-DC-VA metropolitan area alone.</p>
<p>I live in NYC. I am certain that that number is significantly larger for the tri-state area.</p>
<p>wow! 300 from 3 areas alone?!? does location play a factor in admissions?</p>
<p>In a sense as they would like to create a diverse class. For example, being from North Dakota will help you get your over the top if all else is in order. It just gives (or does not depending on the situation) that last push.</p>
