<p>Runner Group from Group D. So either Serbia, Ghana, or Germany.</p>
<p>Runner up of group D, I believe that will be Germany or Serbia.</p>
<p>Well that’s the next question TYIL but the impossible, divine scenario looks to be playing out. All I gotta say is pull hard for Ghana and Aussie to pull upsets so we play Australia in the Round of 16. I think most likely we’re looking at Serbia (with Germany/Serbia wins). But what’s really amazing is that if US pulls that game off (completely possible, Serbia is not unbeatable by any stretch of the imagination) is that they would play the winner of Uruguay/SoKo (both teams very beatable) rather than Argentina like England will play if they win their Round of 16 game.</p>

<p>Uruguay are very tough. I don’t see USA making it to round of 8.</p>
<p>Very beatable is maybe a little bit much but they are much more beatable than a team like Argentina.
Why don’t you see US making it past Round of 16? They are playing very well right now (last 3 halfs have been terrific) and they will face likely Serbia or Ghana. They can do it, methinks.</p>
<p>South Korea is not an easy team to beat, either. They made it to the semifinals 8 years ago.</p>
<p>If we get there, they’re beatable. Not easy, but beatable. There’s a difference.</p>
<p>^^ That was at home though, also teams do almost a complete changeover every 8 years. Uruguay is good, certainly better than either Solvenia or Algeria. If the US want to go much further into this World Cup they are going to have to take their game up a notch or two.</p>
<p>Yeah you guys (except MIThopeful) are missing the point. There’s no such thing as an easy game in the World Cup Finals. You can only hope for very beatable games and especially after you’ve narrowed it down to 16 teams, a “beatable” game for the US is all you can hope for.</p>
<p>^It’s not that they have to take their game up a notch or two because they are playing spectacular but they needs to finish more often (which could qualify as taking your game up a notch or two I guess but I think they are two separate things).</p>

<p>I didn’t expect USA to make it into the World Cup, and I REALLY didn’t expect them to make it to the next round, but they did! I don’t think they’ll make it to the final 8, but if they do I’ll go crazy.</p>
