Allll right, so up until today, my status was "in review" on 3/26, but today it changed to "acted on." Did this happen to EVERYONE who was still in review prior to today?

Yikes.

Yikes.

I think that's good news.

Everyone that's had acted upon has March 29th, so I guess April 1st is acceptance. I mean, they said they had acceptances left and I haven't seen any. =/

Can someone who had the 3/26 "in review" status and was accepted confirm that their status changed to "acted on" on 4/1? Anyone?

I just checked the mail (a little premature, since mail isn't supposed to be all out at my PO until 10:30, but whatever) and I didn't have anything from USC. But I do live in a rural part of WA.

I'm going to be SO annoyed if they didn't send out my decision until Monday. Didn't they say all remaining decisions would be sent out on 3/28? Geez.

I just checked - my S's was changed 4/1 to acted upon, after being "in review" since 3/26. Yesterday, he received admission for spring. I predict you're in! We're in urban WA, and the letter was mailed 3/28 USPS Priority.

Thanks rainmama! Yay Washingtonians! Haha. Is your S going for sure?

I won't go if I'm a spring admit, but I'll consider USC if they let me in for fall.

It's probably a spring admit since it changed to acted upon late.

I was just wondering what the deal was with spring admission? Does it really make that much of a difference if you start a couple of months later?

KBaher: My d's status changed to "Acted upon" today (4/1) and she was admitted yesterday in NJ for spring admit to Annenberg; given where you live, it's possible that your package (even though priority) could take longer than usual....

Yeah because then you'll be behind credits. It's like showing up to high school Freshman year second semester. =/

It's also a social thing. At USC, football season is huge. It would really suck to miss out on all of the beginning-year activities. Orientation, fall parties, etc. Everyone is in the mood to make new friends in the fall, but in the middle of the year, I would assume most people will have already settled into their social groups.

And it's actually worse than coming to high school second semester of freshman year, because your credits may or may not transfer to USC from a CC--most colleges want you to graduate from their school in four years, not three and a half.

But nevertheless, I will be grateful for an acceptance to USC. It will just be a sign that I should go to my current number one (Whitman College) as a fall admitted student instead.

Yeah, like with AP credits. Some universities, even though they take them, use tham as electives. Like if you scored a 5 on the English Lit test, they'll count it as an elective and you have to take Freshman English anyway. =/ The credit transfer thing is true and it would suck.

mine is sort of like rainmama's son..
mine was in review for a while then the date changed on 3/26 but stayed in review. then it changed to acted on on 4/1. but my letter was dated on 3/27..and i'm a spring admit

S is still in review...and nothing came in today's mail. 4 days for priority mail to Texas? I don't think so.

Yeah still in review in socal, this is so weird. I'm starting to hate the school for doing this to me. Hopefully something in the mail later today after school.
