Oh gosh, chances, literally no idea..

This is the absolute highest school on my list (read:stretch) so please don't laugh at me..

SAT: 2100
M:700 R:710 W:690

But I would bet money that my October one's will bring math up to around 770 at least, so there's that

GPA
U: 3.4 W:3.8

Yeah, I know, I don't even...But it's gone up substantially every school year, and hopefully ND is one of the schools that give acknowledgement to improvement over time? It's pretty drastic

AP's

10th
US History-5

11th
Stat-5
Lang-5
US Gov-5
Art History (online)-4

12th
Comp Gov
Lit
World History
Calculus AB
Microecon (online)
Macroecon (online)

Supposed to be in Physics C but there was no space in my schedule :(

French 1, 2, and "Special Topics" at a local CC, all will be A's most likely.. this semester should be good (maybe not calc..)

Not alumni, annoyingly because my dad got in and went to a tiny engineering school instead..

Extra-Curriculars

-Competitive Cheer 10, 11
-Golf Team (lol?) 10
-Lax Team (club then after some protesting at the courthouse, a new varsity sport..my short common app essay) 11, 12
-Baseball Manager 10
-SGA Senator 10, 11, 12
-Key Club 10, 11
-Friends of Rachel 10
-Girl's Service League 12
-Debate 11, 12
-"We the People" Constitution Team 12
-Tutor 11, 12
-Yearbook Staff 10 (can I put this if I switched at the semester)?

2 jobs at the same time, Hollister and Pizza Counter girl, 10-15 hours a week at each

Some volunteering at local library, hospital, possibly zoo, + some at school and through clubs

I think my supplement was perfect (spent forever, creative and sometimes funny) and my common app personal essay is about how I didn't know what I was capable of and independently had to discover talents/strengths without any real help from parents/school

As far as letters go I could get great ones from a few AP teachers, but I was also thinking my Interior Design teacher (who I've had all 4 years, know very well, and she's obviously seen me grow + loves me) but I know everyone traditionally prefers acedemic so..? I'm having one of them throw in that I'll be taking the most AP's in my class.

SO YEAH. I know it's not mind-blowing or like...good at all, but do you think a change for the better, self-driven to take online classes/try new things, and capability through my test scores + really good letters/essays could do it? I mean someone has to be in the lower half of the acceptance....what do you think?

White, F, Florida, not first generation, single parent, Irish/Catholic. AP Scholar w/ Distinction, took one High School Scholars Program over the summer.

Approximate rank? In some schools a 3.4 is outstanding, in others it could be middle of the pack. You have good stuff though.

only like top 1/4 weighted, our class is like 500+. I will be tied for the most AP classes ever in our school though, so I mean I guess points for rigorousness, but it’s not that good of a GPA.

Nothing is ever a given. Your stats look very good. The GPA, as you mentioned is probably your weak spot, but you have lots of other stuff that looks really good. Are you applying EA or RD?

I know for a fact the EA pool is extremely tough. Last year I spoke to an admissions counselor and he stated that only the top students make it in during that selection round. Therefore, I would think RD is a great pool for you. If you seriously want to be considered for ND.

Good Luck!!!

When I visited they said that, definitely regular! Anything for better chances. Thanks!

Yup, i think thats your best bet too. Good Luck… I hope it works out for you.
