<p>one other school..the way i see it...i was miserable in elementary, middle, and high school...another four years wont kill me...rice is numero uno...but i applied to another school tho..just one school..<em>sigh</em></p>

<p>Unfortunately, many deadlines have already passed, but there are some schools with Feb. 1 and Feb. 15 deadlines. I don't know about deadlines, but have you thought about other Texas schools such as Trinity, Austin College, possibly SMU, a UT branch, or a TAMU branch?</p>
<p>wannabearicegirl: I know you're into Rice a lot...I am too : ) ... but I think you quickly need to realize that 1. there is nothing you can do at this point but sit tight and wait 2. many people will not get into their dream school, and many of these people will find that they fall in love with the school they eventually end up at 3. everything will be perfectly fine <em>if</em> you do have a safety...I'm gathering from these posts that you may not.</p>
<p>The common app online includes a list of schools and their deadlines. A few of them are in february, and others are rolling (Purdue is, I think?). We'd all advise you to find yourself a super-safety in case worse comes to worst <em>knocks on wood for you</em>.</p>

<p>there is no specific date but they tell you usually in like two weeks...well, thats how long it took for my friend to get the letter</p>

<p>I think she is applying to the University of Houston as her safety. However, July 1st is the deadline for "credentials," while April 1st is the deadline for the application.</p>
