Joev, my name is spelled the French way. I am Lebanese, but Lebanon was once a French protectorate, so many Lebanese people have French names. I suspect the spelling will probably be even more offensive to you now! LOL

As for the UAE, it is indeed a great place to vacation...but there are no casinos. This is an Islamic country and gambling is prohibited. But you have great restaurants and bars (alcohol is availlable and legal), great looking people, awesome shopping, amazing hotels and great beaches.

Of course, if you like culture and history, the UAE may not be the best place to vacation.

Sounds good Alexandre. My fiancee's ancestry is like half Lebanese, and her grandma came over from there. No problems there, but (no offense) I do not like the food. I tried the tabuli (sp*) and did not like it. The beef type thing was okay, cannot remember what its called kibbie maybe?

Sounds good for a vacation spot, they seem to be lacking in the Middle East. If I get called up I am not worried about culture and history, Iraq has enough of that.

wow, I fell asleep after posting about colleges and when I wake up, I see people talking about the UAE on my post. Wierd, but ok. Ok so I don't have a 65%+ chance at Cornell, but I still have a good chance?

Joev, if you didn't like Lebanese food, it is because you have eaten the good stuff yet. If you are ever in the area, I will take you to a good Lebanese restaurant! And as far as vacationing is concerned, Beirut, as weird as it sounds, is quite possibly the best place in the Middle East.

Saveondisc, I hope this serves as a good lesson to you. Never sleep for too long! LOL Seriously, like Goldplatinum suggested, you have a good shot at Cornell...just not 65%.
