*Very important to me (the most invested in)
+Wrote my essay about it

Subjective
Essay - I've been told it's very good by everyone who reads it. I've had 25+ read it so far.
Recs - Amazing:
- My GC loves me, and knows me fairly personally. I stop by and talk to her sometimes. She was a moderator on a class trip to NYC, and I dragged her along to a musical and play (Spring Awakening and Inherit the Wind), so she knows my tastes, hobbies, etc.
- My 2 teacher recs will also be amazing. I am very close to one of the teachers (talk to her everyday in school, out of class, about personal aspirations/problems/hobbies/daily life/etc... I was gonna go see HP5 with her and her husband, dressed up, but then I found out I'm gonna be outta town )
- My other teacher rec is a teacher I had in 7th, 8th, Soph, and Junior year. She has seen me grow, and I have conversations with her outside of class. She knows my basic aspirations. She knows my strengths/weaknesses, likes my sense of humour, and likes me as a student.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, now for the colleges. The ones with *s are the ones I really need an opinion on. The others I'm pretty sure I'm in. (In order of preference: )
Eugene Lang College
Columbia University (CC)*
Marymount Manhattan College
Fordham University*
City University of New York (Honours College at Hunter College)
Case Western Reserve University
New College of Florida*
Columbia is going to be a BIG reach for you. Your SATs are OK. But they're not very competitive. And your GPA is the same way. And you don't go to a competitive school, so that makes it worse.
/chance me please/
bump /common app is online/
With a 3.15 UW GPA, Columbia is highly unlikely. But you know what, if this is your dream, go for it. I say apply and if you end up at a different college and still want Columbia, apply for transfer (albeit transfer acceptance rate is around ~6%).
bump /thanks for responses so far ^^/
Since your school doesn't rank your SAT/SAT2 scores become even more important. Try and raise your scores.
/bumpbump/
i honestly think Columbia is out of the question unless you improve your GPA and SAT scores...but you should still go for it
bump /bored/
reject by columbia
I understand Columbia is a far reach, but I want opinions on the others. Thank you. :)
/bumpbump/
waitlist and then in at columbia, in at the rest.
I'd say almost definitely in at Fordham, especially if you bump up your scores a bit. Best of luck! (btw, three cheers for initiating Day of Silence at Catholic schools! My favorite part is the look on the English teacher's face when I have my speaking ally explain why I'm not talking. :D)
Oh, and WILSON! YAY! "It IS a juicy piece of gossip. You know what happened? I got all focused on his cancer and lost perspective..." <3 x infinity
<3 House.
"What could make a guy start drooling? Chase! Were you wearing your short shorts?"
Sorry, I really don't know much about the colleges you listed except Columbia (I just love House), which is going to be a reach.
Do you go to the Academy of the Holy Names? Barely anyone ever gets into Columbia from there. I think 1 person in like the last 5 years. Connections to Columbia suck from there. Plus your GPA is wayyyyyy too low for Columbia. Even an unweighted GPA of 3.8 or 3.9 is too low. Columbia's admissions is REDIC. so don't feel let down. Good luck applying.
shes also urm......3.15 and sat is good for urm
Yeah, I do shifty eyes. I'm guessing you're from Tampa?
Hahah yeah I'm from Tampa, I know the person who went to Columbia from AHN. Anyways, I've heard AHN has connections with like Notre Dame and NYU, you should try your luck there.
