bump(10char)

no one this makes me sad!?

Maryland is toughest to get into OOS, then probably OSU and Clemson? Not sure about the last two, it probably depends on which program you're applying to. I would say that you should aim for a 28-31 ACT and 3.8+ uw GPA OOS for UMD, and a 27-30 ACT and 3.7+ GPA OOS for the next two. All three are pretty numbers-driven. Hope that helped!

From previous threads that you've posted, it seems to me that you're looking for a big school outside of Washington with good sports. However, your ACT of 25 is a bit low for most of the ones you're considering. Have you thought about ones such as Iowa State, LSU, Texas Tech, Oregon State, etc.? They have decent reputations, and I think you'd have a pretty good chance of getting in. Not to count you out of the ones you've listed, but you might want to check them out. Best of luck!

thanks for the suggestions vc08 but i am actaully only wanting to apply to ONE public large school besides my own Washington. I really would like to go to a private school such as (santa clara, pepperdine, san diego, bu, northeastern, miami) because they are on the holistic admissions and my essay is very good, great ecs, recs etc. This is why i am trying to find one other one like osu, maryland, clemson etc.

oh, ok, I see where you're headed. So do you want a large private school like OSU, or a large public one? I think I could help you out, if you just clarify that.

i am into the 5,000-15,000 range besides of course UW. I really would like a privite school that has a great business school (thats what i want to major in) like santa clara, usd, bu, etc.

GoDawgs-- Of course UMD as a whole is larger than your target range. But the business school is much smaller, and (in my opinion) it has a private school feel because of the amount of special programs and research you can get involved in, starting from the day you enroll. UMD's business school would provide you with a lot more opportunities than the other two as well.

As far as admissions.... UMD would be the hardest on your list to get into OOS. For what it's worth, the admissions committee does read essays and letters of recommendation. I don't know anything about the admissions process at Clemson or OSU though.

Then I'd say you are headed in the right direction as far as Santa Clara, USD, and BU are concerned. Best of luck, I know you'll get in somewhere great!
