Ohio State - should i bother applying?

I’m an OOS state student applying for the Morill Scholars Program.

I’m a minority (south asian) considerin the ohio state studeny body make up.
I was wondering if any students at OSU or previously accepted students or parents of students could let me know the competitiveness of this program and how hard it really is to get in. I’ve read a couple of forums but none of them answer the question.

My UW GPA : 3.3
W GPA: 3.86
ACT - 29
i have really good extra cirriculars but too many to list right now…
but either way, how hard is this program? should i even bother applying to it?

I would like to know so bump

um, I’m sure you would like to know, but you’re a little quick with the bump, OP. We call it College Confidential, not Instant Gratification.

I think this question is better asked at the OSU forum where there might be some people with personal experience with the Morrill. Off the top of my head, I’d say there are lots of other southeast asians with better scores than yours applying to OSU. There are in fact two Morrills according to my year-old notes. The Distinction is a full ride and the Prominence a full tuition. The notes I have on the Prominence say you need a 1220-1420 and a top 10% of the class. I doubt either GPA puts you in the top 10% of your class, but you would know better than I about your h.s.

My daughter’s stats were about the same as yours and she received the Prominence (Morrill). She did not have 1220-1420, nor was she in the top 10% of her class.
