I think they are probably releasing decisions by alphabetic order of your last name. Therefore, I will be one of the last ones to get the decision

I submitted my application Sept. 25th; it moved to evaluation on october 20th or so.

Daughter found out yesterday afternoon online that her status was changed to accepted! She applied mid-October.

Congratulations! We are anxiously waiting to hear about my son. He applied right at the last minute due to waiting
for a teacher’s letter (popular teacher!) When did your daughter apply?

My daughter applied August 1 and got the acceptance last week, before Thanksgiving. We are at the end of the alphabet as well

@ Multirick - How is the Engineering program acceptance
turning out for your daughter ?
@dreamed - Great ! She found a room mate within 2 weeks of being accepted and she has all her housing turned in and have our orientation dates set. We are from oos so she is nervous and excited about going to Ohio State. She toured the new engineering building and was really impressed.
@ Multirick - Congrats ! What were her credentials ? Did you daughter select Honors or Scholars or None? Also, how did the scholarship package tuen out for your daughter. I am an Instate. If you do not mind sharing…
I will be applying in fall ACT = 30, Written = 9, UW GPA = 3.78. . EC = volunteering hours = 181. Currently a Junior taking 4 APs. Holding a steady part time job.I just want to see what are my chances. Might be attempting another ACT.
@ dreamed - She had a 27 ACT 4.15 W GPA 3.9 U GPA !5 honor or AP classes
Student union officer
2 year captain cheer squad
Top 10 % in her class
She didn’t select honors
You should be fine. Keep your GPA up. I think they really look at that and at how rigorous your schedule is.
We applied early admission in September and heard back in the first acceptance that was sent out.
@ Multirick - That’s nice. Your response has been helpful.
Did OSU, give out some Academic scholarships? I hear that the state schools do not give out much or they claim that they do not have much ! It would be nice to receive some Academic Scholarship at least in my case.
@ Multirick - What is the timeframe when typically colleges will send out the 1st batch of acceptances? Sept / Oct/ Nov ?
Can anyone help me understand the diff between Honors vs Scholars program. I have already visited their page page http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/scholars/faqs.
Basically I am trying to understand, the diff from these perspectives:
- Is one more rigorous than the other?
- Is Honors program more rigorous as far as curriculum ?
- Are there additional classes that the student needs to take in Honors compared to Scholars?
- Acceptance into which is more competitive Honors vs Scholars ?
- Does Honors provide more scholarship than Scholars program ?
- Do Honors program students live on campus as cohort ?
- Upon graduation, does the Degree mention Honors or Scholars ??
@ Multirick or anyone else - Can you guide me with my question above ?
