Ohio University Class of 2014 Decisions Thread

Just a way for us to keep track of who is accepted for Fall 2010 :) If you can, post your stats, when you applied, and when you heard back. Look forward to hear from everybody!

Got into the Scripps College of Journalism about a month ago.
Stats:

Gpa- 3.7 weighted, 2.9 unweighted, about 340/980 in class

I was also accepted into Scripps!!! OU is my first choice.
My stats are unimpressive, but I’ve got a tonnnn of EC’s and work experience with writing, layout, and magazines.

ACT: 25 Composite (Math: 24 Science: 23 English: 27 Reading: 25)
GPA: 3.6 weighted.
school doesn’t rank.

Congrats, lenda!!! I’m pumped. :)

Thanks, Congrats! I’d love to go to Ohio but its about 50-50 between them and Iowa right now. My parents would rather have me be 3 hours away than 8 like I would be at Ohio. Were visiting MLK Jr. weekend so we’ll see.

anyone know what kind of scholarships i’ll get?

Have you looked at the gateway scholarship—I know with a 32 act you get free tuition—you still may have time to retake the act otherwise I think you’ll get 4,000 for your 31 act --my son already received his 1000 award for the 28 ACT

Also you may get invited for this—from OU website

Stocker Scholars
Qualified high school seniors enrolled in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology are invited to compete for acceptance into the Stocker Scholars Program. Invitation is based upon a combination of class standing or GPA and ACT or SAT scores. Students participate in a team design competition that is usually held on a Saturday in late February. Participants are evaluated based upon their leadership, creativity, problem-solving ability, and teamwork.

lewmin

You may want to look into the copeland scholars program for business—also sounds like a good program. Guess you have to be invited for a competition in March

I got accepted to the college of arts and sciences today but OU is my safety so I don’t know if I will be accepting my place there or not.

STATS:
In state: Grove City, Ohio
ACT: 31 (32 superscored) GPA: 4.32 weighted (should be in the 4.6 range by the end of the year), 4.0 unweighted Class Rank: 4/300
At least 4 AP classes by the end of the year, upper level classes for the rest of my classes (what would be considered honors classes by everyone but my school)
A few EC’s by my time is mostly taken up by theatre (at least 8 hours a week)

Congrats to everyone else who got in!

With those stats, I’m surprised that you didn’t apply to HTC (best program around, imho)

thanks everyone.

He was accepted to the HTC program and was asked to compete for the Copeland Scholarship also.

I got in! :)
