I know Ohio University is not the best engineering school, but if I was to major in civil/chemical engineering or computer science with a decent gpa would my job prospects be good? How is this engineering school in general?

Refer to the Career Placement/Co-ops/Internships section of the OU website to find out which employers tend to recruit there. Generally speaking, the advantage that engineering schools in Ohio [may] have is that the state maintains a significant manufacturing base. Dozens of companies large and small have major facilities in Ohio. Therefore, chemical/materials companies such as Firestone Research, Sherwin-Williams etc. can recruit Chemical Engineering majors nearby at OU etc.
