Same here. I have no idea for chancing anyone. Sorry.

Andydandy, my son's stats are similar to the ones you posted, but his SAT was quite a bit higher. He applied EA but has not heard from them yet. I'll post what happens.

thanks !!!

how hard will it be to get in if your not in the top quarter of your class? Also, on college board it shows the acceptance rate went up to 58%, is that true?

We attened the Trinity in Focus this past Saturday and I would be surprised if they came out and said the acceptance rate went up to 58%. If anything it went down. I say this because they said that they had more students apply this year than last and they will still only accept around 650. The college has no interest in getting bigger.
More applications does not mean more admits.

They also said the caliber of students- SATs etc - increased from last year to this year.

Son just got an email saying he was accepted.

^Ditto. Can't wait to see the letter. Hoping for merit money here.

Does anyone know when they notify students about merit money? Is it in the acceptance letter?

If I remember correctly (son accepted 2007) the merit money was listed in the acceptance letter.

Daughter just got an email she was accepted!

you said your son had similar stats as mine....what were his stats (if you want to share them)....did your son get in with any merit money??

missypie...you said your son had similar stats as mine....what were his stats (if you want to share them)....did your son get in with any merit money?? Thanks

boomer22, missypie and cpq1xtbu CONGRATS! on your ds or dd being accepted to the college.

Do you think they will attend? Are they excited?

D has decided to go to Furman.

Momof2 - we are waiting to see about merit money. We're full ticket according to FAFSA and with the state of the market, etc., merit money has become increasingly important to our family.

Fat envelope in the mail today. With merit award!

cpq1xtbu...can you share your stats (If you want to)

Andy-- it's actually my son who received the envelope. I guess I was just a little excited and didn't make that clear. I probably should ask his permission before I post his stats : )

It is certainly a scary thing with the market the way it is. Merit money indeed becomes important. Good luck!

My son is junior in HS this year. Time is going by very quickly. He will need to apply before we know it.

i got in with merit moolah yay.!
