ok i am starting to flip - chances?

I went to a convention for rice, chicago, columbia, brown, and cornell last yr and came away especially impressed with chicago and rice, not really the ivies.

I really enjor rice because of the location, the undergrad program, the college system, the traditions, the price, the economics dept, the sports, blah blah blah

i am really starting to lean towards rice and if i get in anywhere else, even princeton, i want to go to rice.

Here are my stats - please be honest. grazi!

As everyone says - good recs, good essays, etc

so my chances? like i said - if i get in, youll see me there. even if harvard gives me a full ride (hypothetical of course) because ITS JUST THAT D A M N GOOD!

i think for rice, like many other colleges, as long as you have good scores (which you do), a great essay, and you show geniune interest, you have a great chance. good luck!

also, is it easier to be oos to get into rice? there are three kids from my school applying there, but neither really care about the school. one applied because of baylor. the other because he applied to 30 schools.

bump chique bump bump

i gotta bump this back up especially with all the new people after ID. please respond and help me sleep a little better (or worse)

I think you have a really good shot at getting in. Eighty five people from FL were accepted last year so although OOS may help you a little it won't be as significant if you were applying from say North Dakota. I honestly don't know if being OOS makes a difference though. But you certainly have an above average application and stand a better chance than most.

thanks. i just am really trying to show them that i want to go there. if i get into rice and princeton, ill go rice. thats how much i <3 the school!
