<p>I just got my schedule for my freshmen year. How is it? What sucks for my school is that there are no APs for freshmen and no AP biology. and no advanced english for freshmen. so yeah my school unfortunately sucks.</p>

Spanish 1
Web Design
Algebra 2</p>
<p>2nd Semester:
Honors Precalculus
College Prep Biology
College Prep English 9
Health and Safety</p>
<p>And the worst part is that I took the hardest classes possible for freshmen.</p>
<p>At least you have time to be able to start the extracurriculars that you plan to do to make yourself outstanding on college apps. O:</p>
<p>And if it counts for anything my second semester I am self-studying AP biology</p>

<p>well i have already studied biology thoroughly (it is my favorite and best subject). I know I am ready for AP Biology but my school just doesnt offer it. Im just taking CP Biology because my school requires it.</p>

<p>We have four classes per day too, but we alternate days. So on Day 1 we take certain four classes, then Day 2 we take the other four classes.</p>
<p>I like the way your school organizes classes, you’re lucky. I would love to have fewer, longer classes. </p>
<p>Don’t worry, colleges won’t hold it against you as long you are taking the most challenging available to you. Plus, it is freshman year, not the most important.</p>
<p>Thanks snoopydog1. I have another dilemma. My senior year I want to take a Regional Occupational Program in Health Careers that will be half of the day for the whole year. It’s a very intensive program that will give me instruction in applied anatomy and physiology, medical procedures, disease processes, medical terminology, practices, standards and ethics, patient care and practices, vital signs, CPR, front and back office protocols and computer operations. It also includes an internship with opportunities in a wide variety of areas of the hospital and convalescent hospitals, emergency facilities as well as outpatient medical settings. It also has employment opportunities as a medical records clerk, laboratory assistant, dietary aide, physical therapy aide, transport orderly, unit secretary and EKG technician. Should I go with this program that takes up four of my eight classes in senior year or would I be better taking four challenging courses instead?</p>

<p>I think the program would benefit you more than harm you.
But you have plenty of time to think and decide. :)</p>

<p>By senior year, showing your interest in one field is better than just taking a bunch of random AP classes, in my opinion. It’ll show that you’re dedicated. Plus, it gives you an internship + employment opportunities, which is always a plus.</p>

<p>That is one sketchy school system. You’re not required to take any social sciences?</p>
<p>Some schools don’t require freshmen to take a social studies class (like mine).</p>
