Lol, I signed up for 4 AP classes and I'm totally BSing 2 of them (APES, AP Bio). I haven't even read a chapter for AP Bio and we have no hw most of the time. Should I start studying for it? What about APES? Can I BS that one can just read the review book to get a 5 or no? I want solid 5's btw, so should I at least read my APES textbook once?

It is just that there are so many things to do you feel like procrastinating on classes with other homework...

I breezed through APUSH, but only ended up with a 3. You really need to do the work if you want a five. If a three is fine with you, which it appears it’s not, then blow it off and do the bare minimum like I did. But if you want a five, you really need to try.

depends on your definition. For you, it seems to really not be a good idea. For me, BS’ing is not giving 100% to every assignment, but studying when I have time, etc.

you def want to at least open a prep book, if not the textbook.

I really disagree with most of the board on the difficulty of AP Bio. If you get a review book and start reading around the beginning of March, you should be just fine. Just pay attention on subjects you know are difficult (you’ve taken regular bio, right?) and you should be able to pull a four or five.

I studied 2 days before the AP Bio test and I did well on the Multiple Choice but I bombed the Essays. Just happened to be stuck in the year where we got the hard essay questions.

It’s not that hard, just listen to what the teacher says in class and then refresh your memory later on. The things that get you are memorizing crap like kingdoms, classes and all that boring stuff.

i think that you only have a certain amount of years in school, then you have to go out on your own, no one telling you what to do and by what time. so i say, use this time and really study. i mean, if you have other things to do like party or whatever you do in your free time, then you could save it until summer or when school is out. if you know that if you try you can do super good, why not put 100% into it ?
but thats just my opinion.

I BSed APES. I self studied. Never bought a textbook, didn’t know what fusion power was until after the test, and had just a prep book I started reading weeks before the test. I got a 5.

Really depends on your style. If you want to BS your classes, go straight ahead. Though you may actually learn something if you did your work.

You know yourself. Do YOU think that you can get away with BSing your classes?

Some of my friends studied like crazy, and still ended up with a 1 on the APUSH exam.
Some of my friends just crammed the night before, and got a 5.
It really depends on the person.

From experience, though, APES is pretty BSable, to a point. There are some pretty specific questions on the test, though, although there are certainly some common sense ones as well.

HAhaha. BS all your classes and get an A. That’s fine… until AP testing time. But then again, if you’re a senior, it doesn’t really matter as much anymore.
