I’ve been here for 5 days and have already met great people, smart, accomplished and really fun. I turned down a lot of great schools who offered me scholarships, but I just always was drawn toward BC - and I admit I was wondering if I made the right decision not going to Northwestern or Wash U or Madison, but now I know I made the right choice. And after hearing about the ND game and being at ours, I’m glad they didn’t accept me!

Hate to break it to you Manny, but there is no college in the US that is "all" one race or another. BC isn't exactly the most diverse, but there are kids from all backgrounds and races. Check out the BC website to get the exact racial breakdown if that's important to you.

that "all white" comment is misleading. yes, white people or caucasian's do dominate the scenes at BC, but there are plenty of other minority groups at BC so you wont feel left out.

My daughter is also a Freshman and totally in love with BC. From reuniting with her orientation group, to being a part of the "superfan" student schedule at the awesome football win over Wake Forest, to meeting all her teachers (only one of which she defined as "psycho"), she is having a great experience. Oh, I forgot another big plus-on labor day she took the T into Boston and met up with 5 of her highschool buddies attending different schools in Boston.

My son has gone through the expected upset stomach in the first week (new responsibilities, new people, new food, new dorm), but has come through the other side raving about his new friends on campus, the honors courses, the freshman experiences, and yes, even doing his own laundry. During orientation, the BC staff implored the parents to trust the education and environment of support provided by the University. Everything has been wonderful thus far.

im a freshman too and i already love it here! yeah the first couple of days were iffy, i was questioning whether i made the right decision going so far and if i was going to find the right people to have as friends. but now everything is going great.. turns out i actually love being put on newton and the people in my hall/building are great. lots of opprotunities to have fun, and the football games are phenomenal. classes are much better than hs on average, im actually interested in 4/5 of them. only one professor to have half a complaint about but thats because hes a grad student with a heavy accent.
