I have to take the SAT 1 again in October, first time I got a 1760, but now I'm aiming for 2350+. No more horsing around.

SAT 2 in November, with Physics (or Spanish), Math Lvl 2, and PERHAPS US History since I just got a 680.

So as of now my classes are pre calc and Physics. Next year I will have AP Bio and AP Calc.

Should I take the SAT 1 in October or in November?

And I need a studying schedule for the SAT 1 starting now.

I have Barrons 23rd edition and Arco master the new SAT. I don't know if I should get the blue book or not. So here's my schedule:

Memorize 5 Vocab words a day from the Barron's book or from a magazine.
Take one practice once every 2 weeks.
Do some math problems and critical reading problems every day.
Brush up on grammar every other day.

who knows. Remember vadox? He went from 1800 to a 2310 i think. He even posted a big long post about how he did it and how did he study. Search it up. The title of the thread had 1800->2300 or sth

I jumped 170 points from my march SAT to my may SAT (320 points from PSAT --> SAT). I found it very helpful to do a practice test out of the blue book each week. Make sure you time these tests to simulate a real test situation. Also, I memorized 20-30 vocab words every day or other day, which helped me raise my CR up 100 points in 1 month. I say you follow the path I took.

I would recommend reading some books, too. This will help you to understand the meaning of words in context and have an improved overall reading approach.

If you dedicate your summer to your goal with a rigorous and spartan schedule, along with smart and effective methods, then you should be able to reach the 2300s mark. You just have to be confident and have lots of self-control.

Good Luck!

BTW, Regular Barrons and Acro suck!

Get RocketReview Revolution 06-07, Barron's 2400, CollegeBoard Official Study Guide w/ 10 Practice Tests, and possibly Gruber's.

If you use the books listed above, then you will bound to shoot up alot!

Also, take a strict, timed SAT test from the CB book every Saturday or everyother Saturday! When you do practice sections, always, I mean always time yourself according to SAT time limits!

In addition, concentrate really hard and don't blow over easy questions as you can make reckless mistakes like I have done on Math which cost me 90 points on the May SAT.
