I read the thread below questioning if a capped student took classes elsewhere before being admitted in the spring. Does that apply if I am already admitted to Fall 2010? Since UT isn't allowing incoming freshmen to take summer classes, I was wanting to take summer classes at another college this summer before attending UT this fall. Can I or do I need to call the registrar?

Yes you can but make sure the credits will transfer. Personally, I’m planning on taking calc this summer before my freshman year.

Good. That was the plan!

Hey. I was planning on taking calc II at a CC too. :)

I’m kind of nervous though. I need it to fulfill my requirements to be an internal transfer to McCombs. DO you think it looks less competitive than M408L at UT?

If you were to get the same grade at UT and CC, it would definitely look less competitive, but that probably wont happen. I posted a topic about it (here:http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-texas-austin/874553-calculus-community-college-maybe.html), and everybody says take it at CC. I think I’m going to do it in the summer, but you can also take it at Austin CC concurrently.

thanks toffa813
